WHAT'S IN YOUR MIND TODAY?

What are you thinking about today on this, the second day of the new year? Are you thinking how excited you are that you get to live in this new year? Are you thinking how blessed you are to have made it to the new year? Are you grateful to be alive? Is your mind filled with excitement? Are you excited about all the great adventures that await you in this new year? Well, I'd say those are all really nice thoughts to have enter your mind today.

But wait...are you thinking negative today? Are you sitting around picking apart 2009 like it were a roasted Cornish hen, or something? Is your mind reviewing all of the problems, sadness and unhappiness you experienced last year? Is your mind going through these bad memories over and over again? Are you looking at all of those bad memories as if you're looking at them through a microscope? Are you thinking about what you could have done in 2009 but never did? Are you thinking about the plans you never completed last year? Did you break up with someone in 2009? Did someone close to you pass away last year? Did you lose your job? Are these some of the things you're thinking about today?Well, if you continue those thoughts into this new year, you may very well end up repeating the same things in 2010. And I know that's not what you want.Look, I think its okay to spend a few minutes reflecting about last year. I think you can review the year in your mind and actually learn from any of the mistakes you may have made last year.

Hey, I'm only human and, yes...I make mistakes lots of times. But I always try to learn my lesson from each of them. I have very high hopes for each of you, my friends. I think the next 364 days of your life can be filled with happiness, health and yes, weight-loss success!I want you to fill your mind with positive memories today. Think of all the people you've made smile. Think of all the kind things you've showered your family and friends with. Think about what you did achieve in 2009. Yes...learn from your past achievements so that your achievements this year will be even greater.

Today, you should be thinking about planning your meals and sticking to your portions in 2010. Today, you should think about all the different kinds of exercise you'll do this year to keep your body fit. And...you should think about me and how much I adore you. I want you to think about the fact that I am here for you...everyday!Wait a moment...I have to pat myself on the back. (Okay, I'm done.)

Now, I want you to pat yourself on the back! And as you do, I want you to keep your mind filled with happy and positive thoughts.Love,
