Guest guest
Well that depends on how you want it to work lol. But yes it seems to for me . Molly : O ) My 35 gram cereal mix. i have a hugh container that i pour 2 boxes of fiber one cereal in ,since they mentioned it in womans world magazine its hard to find it so now i buy a lot at once when i see it . ( the one that taste like sawdust and looks like twigs )to this mix i add a bag of almonds ( sliced or slivers what ever i am in the mood for. and a bag of dried cherries or cranberries again what ever i see while shopping. ) and as i use it if i find i have those instant oatmeal packs the new ones ( simple harvest) i open them and dump them in my container . maybe 3 or 4 in the whole thing.once i added a bag of salad topping , had glazed pecans cranberries and cherries in it yum. so you see this isnt a exact science lol. now how i know i get 35 is this way. 1 cup of the mix = which equals 28 grams of fiber 1 rounded teaspoon fiber sure = equals 5 grams of fiber So you see this is 33 grams not counting the nuts and the fruit which is 2 or more grams . And i dont even count the teaspoon of fiber sure i add to my coffee lol. Molly : O ) > > I am so jealous! I have had a cough/cold thing where I lost my voice for a week now. I'm getting flabby because every breath causes a coughing fit. > > What did you eat to get 35 grams all at once? Guest guest
I know that I have only posted once or twice and they have been something along the lines of today is the day kinda things. But to be honest they weren't. I have done nothing to lose weight and I can tell it. so one more time.. Enough is enough and I have to do something about this weight.. But I need help. I need someone or a group of someones to call me out from time to time and say hey what are you doing for yourself? Which is why I joined this group.. surely there is someone out there that has been so down in the pit of what ever it is that they are welling to kick my butt out of mine.. Anyway just a recap on me. I am 37 married for almost 20 years to a great guy that loves me no matter how big I am. Which is good, but can have its set backs as well. He doesn't see that I need the help..But anyway I am a stay home mom, have a four year old very active, what four year old isn't little boy, a 16 year old daughter and a 19, tomorrow, son. I am going to school to be a health information tech. but I am doing this online. so that isn't getting me out of the house.. Other than that I have church.. not a bad life by any means.. Now it is time for me to take care of me.. So Please ladies HELP ME.. I have got out my weight watchers stuff.. I have done really well with that.. I have wrote down my food today. And because this has been laying on my mind and heart I have already started to cute back.. Well sorry this has become a book.. Guest guest
> I have got out my weight watchers stuff.. I have done really well with that.. Are you going to WW meetings or just trying to do it on your own? Have you signed up to use the free WW message boards? Those might help you, too. I'm pretty sure we have a folder in the Links page for recipe sites that give WW points along with outer nutritional info to help you along the journey. I think WW hands out a handy-dandy Points calculator, too, so you can use that on the other recipes in the archives or our sister recipe list, rsdeal. What kind of exercise are you doing and how much? The federal govt. says that if we need to lose weight we should be doing 90 minutes of cardio a day. I know *I* get no where near that, thanks to age and aches, but I try to get *something* done every day. And in WW don't you get extra Points for performing exercise activities? >I have wrote down my food today. I know a lot of people swear they eat less and healthier when they write everything down. If it helps you, keep up the good work. If you want a critique of your daily food plan, you can always post here to the list what you've eaten and someone will hop in with suggestions on what to add (*Always* more veggies!! LOL) or what to cut back on for optimal nutrition and taste for the least amount of Points. > Well sorry this has become a book.. Oh, heck, not at all! That was down-right short compared to some of my posts in the past! LOL The list has been a bit quiet lately, but it does this every year when the warmer weather hits. Many mailing lists do. And with all the groups weirdness lately it's amazing to find *any* posts here some days! Just keep on coming back and posting and eventually someone will pop in. Guest guest
> The extra munching is what gets me. I grab a " low cal. " snack way too much!!!! Those low cal. add up quickly. Look for those bars Sapphyre recommended - only 90 cal each: Quaker brand Chewy Oatmeal Raisin granola bars. I'm such a label reader. I've found that most times if a product is labeled low fat or even low cal it had more calories per serving than the regular version of the food. > I rationalize and say it is good, but nothing is good in excess! I've read so many times in OA literature that " nobody has ever compulsively overeaten broccoli. " Well, *I* have! And other veggies and fruit, too. Better that than chips, right? > Today is my first day home alone... Oh, how I long for the day I can say that! My son is *still* looking for a job - ANY job - and it's been a year since he graduated with his Master's in electrical engineering. He's putting an application in today for a job in a trucking company, 7pm to 3am shift, doing secretarial work. He's *that* desperate. Many of his friends that graduated before and after him are in the same boat. Even the scientist's kid can't get his usual job this year, that the place his dad works in just isn't hiring summer help this year. Out of the group of 8 of them the only guy working full time is working nights as an RN, and he got his job only because his mom is the supervisor on that shift ansd she hired him. Everyone else was either laid off or couldn't get a job in the first place. >I do really well with my husband home, It's the opposite here. I do great during the day, but as soon as dinner is over Ed starts dragging all the junk food into the room as we watch tv or read and waves it all under my nose, saying " Go ahead - you know you want it! " Times like that I get so jealous of the people who live alone. LOL Sue in NJ
