Guest guest
My sister just returned from a month of treatments for my autistic nephew and we are thrilled with his results! He accompanied us to our pool yesterday and I believe that those who don't know the child wouldn't know that he was autistic except for a few small quirks. That aside, my sister and I spoke at length about all the treatments and the people she met. She told me about a lady who works there whose son is now 22. He is severely affected (autism) and walks around mumbling and and doing repetitive behaviors, etc... The truly TRAGIC part of all of this is that he was completely NORMAL until he had his teenage booster shots at age 15. Can you flipping believe that? She has all the home movies and photos, etc... He was a normal teenager embarking on life when BAM - the lights went out. My BIL, who is a calm, mild-mannered guy, said, " That's when you kill someone. " And I could almost agree with him. But who is ultimately to blame for all of this senseless tragedy? I'd like to know what the " doctors " attribute his condition to. I'm posting this for all of you who might be thinking, " Oh, we'll wait until ny is four or five before we give him his shots. " There's no guarantee that ny will be fine even at 15. Sheri B. Guest guest
My thoughts exactly! I always tell all parents of autistic kids no matter how old they are that they are not healthy enough to get vaccines. It is contraindicated in many pamphlets which so many parents don't read & so many doctor's don't even point out. I either have to explain myself further or they walk away thinking I'm a loony bird. Either way, they can't say they didn't know or no one told them. Guest guest
Amazing, Sheri! Thanks for sharing this. I know there are so many people who think vaccines are ok to give after a certain age (usually the first year or two.) This definitely supports that that is NOT the case. My son is 15. Reading this gave me cold chills! How awful for this family! Giving any vaccine is playing Russian Roulette with the individual's life, infant, child, teen or adult! I had a reaction to my last tetanus shot 9 years ago. There is no safe age to get a vaccine. Guest guest
I know you get boosters at 14 or 15 here in the NC. This lady was originally from Alabama. Don't know which specific shot but I'm not sure it's relevent. I do remember my pediatrician telling my oldest - after getting his kindergarten boosters - " We don't need to do that again until you're a teenager! " Little did she know that we're NEVER doing that again. And she's no longer our doctor.
