Hi Pamela,

I would look at your sons' overall health to determine if they would get a

disease or illness. If they're immune system seems low and they are sick a lot,

it only makes sense not to vax. If they are healthy, they may or may not get an

illness and be able to fight it off just fine on their own. Vaccinations only

weaken the immune system anyway-nothing else! You came to the right place. There

are lots of people here with so much info. about vaccines. Welcome! Jenn L

Vaccine questions

Im new to the group and have not completely made my descision on

vaccines.

I AM VERY wary of them, and havent gotten any for my daughter since she

was dx with infantile spasms at 3 months. We have since had a baby boy

who is fine, and we've only gotten a few vaccines for him.

However each time we've vaxxed him i get nervous, watch him like a hawk

and vow never to do it again. Like my gut knows its wrong.

We are WAAAAAY behind on the " proper vax schedule " for him. I dont

think i want to do anymore at all...im just wondering how this works.

I just make my descision and that is that??

I know theres alot of controversy surrounding not vaxing our kids, im

just nervous.

i brought the issue up to mybest friend who is also a nurse and she hit

the roof...wondering how i could " put my children and hers at risk like

that? "

I was offended. And im confused.

What about polio, flu etc...what are the chances that my kids will come

down with this if i dont vax them anymore??

Thanks so much.

Welcome, Pam. I am a former pediatric/obstetric RN. I stopped vaxing my 2

children about 6 years ago. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't have

had them vaxed at all.

Listen to your gut... and do your research. The proof is there that

vaccines are harmful.

You'll find great support here for your questions and concerns.

This is truely a personal decision. Do your research online, in

books, etc. My kids are not vaccinated, and if you think about it,

people are soooooo worried that THEIR kids are going to get these

diseases from unvaccinated kids, but... If the vaccinations are

supposed to do their job, WHY are they SOOOO worried!?!?!? Right?!

If the vaccinations work like the doctors say they do, they should

have nothing to be concerned about! lol

And, yes. That's it. you decide not to do them anymore, and that's

it. It might be best to talk to a chiropractor regarding a doctor

that doesn't push them. LUCKILY, we have had no issues with them

being pushed on us, but when my daughter was a baby, They were

trying to FORCE me to get them for her, and the doctor told me that

If I wouldn't get them, that he wouldn't treat her anymore. We found

a new doctor needless to say! When they start school, there is a

form you'll need to fill out. Every state is different. In MN where

I used to live, you had to sign and notarize the paper for

conscienciously held beliefs. In WI, we just sign it, and it's good.

No notarizing needed. Your kids can get into daycare, school, and

college without any problems. If they go into the military..... they

might need them then. Or to travel oversees. For me, they can make

that decision when they grow up. I won't submit them to that when

they're little. My daughter is SOOOOO healthy- we get the flu,

colds, etc. and she does not. The only thing she gets is strep

throat. That's it! She's 15 now. She is THE HEALTHIEST child I know,

and I'm proud of that!!! Not vaccinating is NOT something I bring up

with ANYONE who does vaccinate. I'm not out here trying to share

what I know. IF they ask, then I tell. Otherwise, it's not something

that will get anyone to change their mind, nor are you going to

change yours, so.... why try?? it will only end in a fight/argument.

The only people that know that we don't vaccinate are my parents,

brothers, my inlaws, and my hubby's brothers, They respect it, but

don't agree. I've given them info to read, and they did. AT least

they know where we're coming from. A couple of my friends know, but

only because it's come up and they asked. They're both very

respectful of our decision, and no argument happened. one of my

other friends actually knew that my daughter was not vaccinated, and

we had discussed it before, and when she had her 2nd son, she asked

me for the name of our pediatrician after seeing how sick her son

was, and how healthly my daughter was. Like I said. Do you research.

YOU Need to make the decision, and IF something should ever happen,

YOU need to know, deep down inside that you DID do the right thing!!

Pamela,

We have only gotten one vaccine for our son, the Hib vax. We may vax

later, but not until after age 2, and we will not get all of the vaxes.

When/if we do, we will get one at a time. These are the sites that I

feel are the best resources:

- National Vaccine Information Center: http://www.909shot.com/Default.htm

- A User-Friendly Vaccination Schedule:

http://www.lewrockwell.com/miller/miller15.html

- Glossary of Vaccines: http://www.informedchoice.info/index.php (click

Cocktail to see the ingredients)

- Mothering Dot Commune, Vaccination Forums:

http://www.mothering.com/discussions/forumdisplay.php?f=47

What are the chances that your children will come down with the diseases

for which there are vaccinations? I only know enough to talk about these

two:

- Hepatitis B - only if they become IV drug users or have sex with

someone who is infected (yes, Hep B can be spread through other means,

but most cases are not)

- Polio - there have been no natural cases of polio in the US since

1979. There is discussion of phasing out the vaccine by 2010. The oral

polio vaccine itself caused at least 51 cases of polio in the mid-1980s

On the other hand, even vaccinated people get pertussis (aka whooping

cough). The chicken pox (varicella) vax is only about 40% effective, and

cases of shingles in children have greatly increased since it was

introduced. Also, the immunity wears off just when you need it the most.

The flu vax is always a best guess, and that's it.

There are many different viewpoints, and I have really just scratched

the surface of research. It's important to note that these are YOUR

kids, and you should feel comfortable with the decision that YOU make.

Don't let anyone scare you into a decision, one way or the other.

Hi all,

Those of us who have been researching this for a long time have come to the

conclusion that

1. Vaccines do not give immunity

2. Vaccines inject toxic material into the body

3. There is no safe way to delay or selectively vaccinate

4. Once you learn about hte diseases that have vaccines associated with

them you will lose your fear of most of them or understand that they are

not what you have been told you are.

5. And when you understand a vaccine doesn't give immunity, just injects a

chronic case of illness, then you will know that vaccines are never the

answer.

Start with my webpages

http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/vaccine.htm

and especially look at polio and the lies about that one

Hey, I've been doing some more research on vaccines etc...

there is SO MUCH info out there..and cause I figure you're a bit

farther along then I am....you could help me out.

I can't find an alternative vaccine schedule.

I have seen some. Some just do what they consider the biggies, like polio..

however, I am of the opinion that NO vaccine is safe therefore you don't

need an " alternative " b/c that is not going to be safe either

also, what are the vaccines that are " necessary " as opposed to the ones that

are

offered, but NOT NEEDED.

Since vaccines don't offer true immunity, none are needed. None are

" necessary " either.

can't believe they give newborns the HEP B vaccine!!

Incredible but true. Very sad too. they even give vaccines to preemies. The

lie is very deep that they help.

also, should I contact my ped's office to make sure the dr. is okay w/

delaying vaccinations?

I would not bring it up unless directly queried. I would find alternatives

to the ped's office. Start with getting some sort of " dr mom " book b/c most

childhood things are colds. Learn to trust yourself, trust your instincts

and learn how to handle minor things at home. I very rarely have my kids to

the doctor. I ditched the " well baby checks " long ago. If I want to know

their height/weight, I can do that at home w/o exposing them to unneeded

germs.

I just don't want any confrontations/arguments about it.

There does not have to be an argument. You leave it cut and dried and very

matter of fact. " I'm researching this decision more and until I am

comfortable, I will be delaying all vaccinations " be sure to use

" vaccination " rather than " immunization " . That engenders the belief that

vaccines do provide immunity. That is a lie. This is your child. Not theirs

and I can tell you, if you bow to peer pressure or intimidation, they will

not be there to support you if things go wrong.

do you know how I can find how the vaccination schedule has CHANGED since

2000/2001 until now???

No info on this. I stopped vaccinating completely in 2001.

highly recommend Sheri's site and 909shot and thinktwice for more info.

Lydall's book " raising a vaccine free child " and Miranda Castro's book

on homeopathy and Sheri's beginning course. When given a no, a yes must be

provided. You can't tell a parent " don't vax " and not provide something to

help combat the fear of the disease. That is what sells vaccines. FEAR. Not

medicine. Not science. When you don't fear the diseases, you won't buy the

vaccines.

to make them all yourself.
