Guest guest
I was at work, and the foreman of the ranch wanted me to googlemap him a route to a fish hatchery. So I did and we were discussing the route when a small bird flew into the glass door outside the office. I was broken hearted. I went out to see if there was anything I could do for the poor thing, and it was alive. I picked it up, it was a tufted titmouse. It was dazed but seemed not badly hurt. The foreman told me after I'd held it for a few minutes, warming it, to put it down to see if it would fly. I did and it wouldn't. I couldn't just LEAVE it there, my coworker had brought her 5 year old son to work and you know kids, he'd hurt it worse, so I decided to take it up to the grove where I have lunch on the property to see if it would fly. It started getting more animated once we started walking. I was feeling encouraged. I climbed the hill heading for a wisteria bush and he really seemed like he wanted to fly. When I got to the hill and to the wisteria, I opened my hands, and off he flew! I was so relieved. So I was heading home, turned onto the road that our road intersects and saw an animal on the road. At this juncture there are always cats there and I thought it was a cat. I got up to it and saw it was a puppy, and it was just crouched there, apparently unable to breathe well. I rushed to it and it was bleeding from the mouth and struggling to breathe. I knew he was dying, but I didn't want him to die in the road like a piece of garbage so I took him home. I was so happy about being able to save one, then this and it just really hurts. Thanks for listening. *~*~*~* "You can deprive the body, but the soul needs chocolate" -Sapphyre *~*~*~* "Meditate.
