Laurie, I've got literally dozens of family members missing, too. It's not

looking to good for some of them. I feel ya.

Believe me - I understand the situation in ways nobody but a local would grasp,

as I'm sure you do. You aren't crazy. Toxic gumbo is exactly what we're looking

at here. Can't really discuss much right now, though. Must continue the search

and arrangements. There will be time for that later.

Note: Folks, those media whores in New Orleans aren't telling you half the

story. Those who have them, pull out Ritchie's books and get the real dope on

what happens when wetlands and estuarial waters are polluted. That's what we're

looking at here. Try to exponentiate to the millionth power. Discount the

soundbite " experts " like you never did before. Discount these quickie

preliminary scientific reports. They're nearly worthless. And we still won't get

very close knowing to the truth of it all, because this " event " isn't even close

to being over yet.

There aren't even words for all this.

You may already know this, but DirecTV has assigned channel 100 for messages and

such for Katrina Victims and Survivors. You have no idea the hell this is going

to cause. Only a mold survivor could even begin to understand. Our government

has stuck their head in the mud about the effects of bad water and mold and such

that I don't even have the vocabulary to begin to discuss. I pray for you and

your family, may god bless us all.

Vegas Apartment Life is a site I've been trying to develop in between dealing

with new symptoms and illnesses (sleepy ... very sleepy) and the Hurricane.

Vegas Apartment Life is soon to be a full site offering information and

assistance to Las Vegas Apartment residents ... but for now, it will begin with

MOLD information ... as Vegas seems to be housing a ton of toxic mold throughout

apartment communities across the valley.

I just want to tell people. I cannot bare the thought of any other families

going through this ... for the sake of the almighty buck ... someone else's buck

while we lose a bundle in addition to our health.

So ... if anyone would like to look at the message board thus far ... and tell

me what you think. Feel free to add anything you like. I could use (and would

This is our third storm in a year. Ivan dennis and katrina. My company does

strom repair, here in penascola for the last ten years. we have delt with

insurance company`s , FEMA, my tree crew is cutting trees off houses in miss.as

we speak. We mostly cut out molded and water damaged sheetrock, doors &

Insulation and replace with new. Ivan tore us up pretty bad. It will be ten

years rebuilding here. Not really sure what Infomation you are looking for?

illness since Polio, and that is thought to be responsible for CFS and many

About the " bad water " and mold ... NO KIDDIN'! My husband and I have been

discussing that since Katrina hit and NO began to flood ... (seems every

conversation we have now relates to mold in some way - people around us think

we're looney) ... Considering the source of moisture for the mold is deadly,

toxic soup ... I cannot even begin to image the health implications ... in

addition to just being around the water! The continue to talk about mold - I

can't help but wonder if this disaster may bring forth new " mold legislation " -

since the Federal Government has taken over the clean-up and mold is the next

disaster to come ...

As for the Government not coming up with cures for cancers and other deadly

diseases ...

My husband and I have been disucussing this as well - we were trying to think of

any " high-up " in the Government that has cancer, AIDS, or other deadly disease.

? Couldn't think of any - though we've never really paid it any attention.

We think the cures are there, but to cure everyone of " man-made " diseases, would

shut down the Pharmaceutical companies, medical, etc. Then, once " cured " , it

(the disease or condition) would come back because we'd still be living in a

disease-causing environment and/or eating disease-causing foods. AIDS and

Cancer would then become like a cold ... we get it, go to the doc, get it again,

go to the doc ... and so on.

That's just the way we look at it - may sound funny - but we've tried to

simplify everything today and relate it to the Bible - seems to work for us.

You have also been thinking intelligently. Our government sees us as expendable,

whether it be to use us as guinea pigs or die in a war. Have you also noticed

that no high government officials have military age children who are in the

service? That is why I do not believe the draft will come back and it is harder

for the " haves " to keep their children from service. Also remember that years

ago Magic admitted he had HIV? well the past few years he is a NBA

analyst. He should have developed AIDS years ago and be dead by now. I am a big

NBA fan and I have never heard him say what he did to beat having AIDS. Isn't

that strange? I agree that I think the government has cures for bad disease but

only the " elite " get the treatments and then they don't talk about how they

became cured.

Bill O'reilly said after Katrina that this shows that people cannot depend on

government to help them.
