's Daily Message TuesdayJanuary 01, 2008THE BOOK

First, let me say Happy, Healthy New Year to all of you! And on this very special first day of 2008, I have a special present for each of you. It`s a book.

And oh, such a beautiful book, too. The cover is made of a soft, buttery camel-colored leather and it has your name printed on the front.

When you open the book, you will find 366 blank pages. And with everyday that God blesses you with, you`re able to write your own story on the book`s pages. Everyone gets one of these books today.

Some people may choose to leave the pages in their books blank. These are the people who waltz through life, taking things as they come without a care in the world. Then there are those who grab a pen every morning making entries into their books. So, which category do you fall in?

I`m asking you all to write down your New Year`s resolutions. I wrote mine down a few days ago and this morning, I wrote them on the inside cover of my book. Last night before I went to bed, I looked them over and thought about all nine of them.

That`s right, I made a total of nine resolutions. Maybe you have even more for yourself. And like me, you should look at them daily so that those resolutions really get under your skin and sink into your mind. If you haven`t made your resolutions yet then you are forgiven. But you have got to make them and write them all down today.

When you wake up each morning, write on that day`s page all that you have to get done today. And as you get each thing done, check them off. It`s something I've been doing myself for years now. It helps keep me focused and honest with myself.

And yes, by the way, you must be honest about your New Year`s resolutions and make them very realistic ones, too. I don`t know what kind of year you had in 2007. I know only what you tell me. But I`m sure there is often more to the story than what you share with me.

But I still want you to please learn from the mistakes you may have made in 2007. And don`t dare bring those same mistakes with you and repeat them in 2008. There`s nothing we can do about last year but there is plenty we can do to make this new year better than the last. And you know, it`s all in how you plan each one of those days God gives you.

There are so many things I want for you this year. I want you to be happy with your life and enjoy each day of it. I want you to be healthy and feel good about the body you live in. I want you to excel in all areas of your life. I want you to find peace in this new year and surround yourself with positive people who love you unconditionally. Oh, I`m so excited about 2008 and I want you to be excited about it, too!

Well, I have my book right here in front of me. And you have yours there, too. Each year, God gives us a brand new book and life to live. It`s a fresh chance to begin anew.

Get to work on your book and make this new year your year to excel!

Love,
