Guest guest
Good grief. Sorry I have been so MIA from the group this week. With vacation, it's hard to catch up on life ya know? Home's been crazy catching up with dishes, laundry, etc and work's been crazier trying to get caught back up. I "refuse" to work those insane amounts of overtime like we worked two weeks ago, so need to get this manageable. Fast. I "have" to work til 5 p.m. on Fridays starting next week - all of the Account Reps had to pull a shift during the week staying late, so why I chose Friday, I'll never know, other than it fit into the week best... anyway, I decided today that I am going to switch from a.m. to p.m. to keep consistency for myself and my children (not to mention my clients) - so instead of working 5 a.m.-2 p.m. Mon-Thurs and then 8-5 on Fri, I am going to do all 8-5 shifts. I think this will work good, because I am used to getting up earlier, so I am going to continue to get up a little early and go to Curves BEFORE work on my work-out days and then take ds to school, then go to work. This will <hopefully> make it so I don't want to bail after work and just go home, especially if I am tired at 5 p.m. (hellooooooo who isn't tired after work at that hour) and not wanting to deal with traffic, etc to get to Curves and make ds wait for dinner time longer.... on my non-Curves days, I can do my walk, etc before work too "They" say exercise in the a.m. is "better" anyway What else? I feel like I am STARVING this week. I can tell I am on top of my game eating and exercise-wise. Ok, for the benefit of the doubt, I know I am not starving. I just went way over points this past week with TOM and travel. Compromised choices. I don't know if tomorrow will be a Curves night or Sat a.m. after Weight Watchers, or if I will go only twice this week. I wish I wouldn't have missed the WW meeting last week - from the looks of my leader's email update, it's a 2-parter, so this week is the continuation of last week's discussion. Sigh. I'll figure it out LOL!! This week I get my 3rd SAS (stay-and-succeed) award and it's my 1-yr WW anniversary. Hard to believe that I turned myself in to WW a year ago already!! Oh yeah: I *finally* remembered to call and start the process for my training "class" for Bloomsday. It's a 7 week program to get ready for the 12K - I am sure there are registration forms they have us fill out (you know: the legal waivers LOL). So, that's on the way. We start 3/15 with 1-mile and then add a mile each week to build up. The things say it is for all levels: walk, jog, running. There is first aid, water stations and crossing-guard volunteers along the course during the training sessions. It's put on by my medical insurance co, one of the hospitals here and the community college. I feel safe. I *am* going to touch base with my doctor and be sure there is/was nothing that we did or did not discuss during my physical this summer to prevent me from wanting to jog/run part of this. This way I *can* say I have a medical release if needed LOL!! OK - hope you all have had a great week and I'll try to get caught up more this weekend on the posts. in WADelicious ideas to please the pickiest eaters. Watch the video on AOL Living.
