Guest guest
Thank goodness "my baby" has a birthday this week LOL and I can have cake. Maybe I have been subconsciously thinking about it since being in CA last weekend and having carrot cake each day. Today, we got to work to the news that today was the last day of one of my co-workers. She decided to enroll in school that begins in a few weeks and she needed a swing shift position, so applied for, interviewed and was offered a position on another team. So, training starts for her Tuesday. I said "Congratulations. Where's the cake?" I so wanted cake today!! My WW friend (not Mrs FP, that will be later) said "is it a craving or urge?" and I said CRAVING - I have to have it. "They" (team potluck) decided we would have root beer floats. That is an URGE, I wanted cake, to satisfy my craving. Well, I didn't want cake bad enough to buy cupcakes or something from the vending machines, so I "settled" for some ice cream and diet root beer LOL. 6 points. Sheesh. For "settling" on ice cream. Bummed. I know people lose weight at different rates and stuff, especially when beginning a dieting/healthier lifestyle program, but the information was relayed to me today that Mrs FP has lost 10 lbs since she went to the doctor a week ago, which would be 5-7 lbs is my guess since joining WW - how the heck?? Don't get me wrong, I am very pleased for her if she does and is losing weight that quickly. I just reminded them to tell her (in case I didn't get a chance to) that the two scales could be different and to not be bummed if the WW scale doesn't show that huge of a loss next week. I'll take slow. And non-obsessing weight loss. Hey, I could lose weight that fast too, but you guys n gals wouldn't like to hear from me. Can you say "cranky"?? We are talking worse than PMS/TOM I want cake now, darnit cranky. Hope you all have a great weekend of relaxing planned and stay close to on plan with your programs!! Who all is doing the Women's Health walking challenge? How are you doing with that? May is almost over and I still do not have: swim suit or running shoes. Dang. I think I start jogging next week LOL!! I still have the full month of June to get my swim suit. I wasn't about to buy one in CA last weekend, their sizes were too wacked!! Says my size would still be 3-4 x in most things (at least at Wally World)... hate 'em, hate 'em, hate 'em!! I told Jay "I am NOT a 3x any longer!! That is just WRONG!!" I know we need to go by what fits and feels/looks good, but to lose 40 pounds and still be in a 3x because those bone head manufacturers decided to skew the sizing.... waaaaah!! Ok, be safe - have fun! See what's free at AOL.com.
