Guest guest
's Daily Message TuesdayFebruary 27, 2007HIGH NOON When the clock strikes 12 today, I`ll be on my way to Washington, DC. I`ll be on a plane with my manager, C. and my partner in "prime," Anne. C. It was Anne who asked the big question that got me here: ", what is your legacy?" Well, I want it to be getting our children fit! I have a copy of the press release that Congressman Wamp has sent out and it reads like this: "Fitness Expert To Join Representatives Wamp and Ron Kind In The Fight Against Childhood Obesity. Jefferson once said that a child who is not physically well cannot learn. The lack of physical activity available to young people is causing childhood obesity to sky rocket. With it, comes an increase in cases of Type 2 Diabetes as well as a number of other health problems related to obesity, such as sleep depravation and even attention disorders. One of the world`s most famous fitness experts, along with US Representatives Wamp and Kind will promote childhood wellness by advocating physical education as a core curriculum in the "No Child Left Behind Act." The time is now for Congress to recognize these health problems and promote wellness for our nation`s youth." Did you almost pass out? It`s hard to believe this is actually happening but...it is! I will also be meeting with who is Chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee. He is one of the original authors of the No Child Left Behind Act. He is also chairman of the committee working on the reauthorization of the act. I have to thank Anne. C., Heidi E., Kathy F., Janet P. and Dana M. who all helped with the research and gave me the knowledge to prepare for this press conference at the capitol. Please keep me in your prayers. And now tell me, what is your legacy to be? What do you want to be remembered for? Think about it. Love,
