Guest guest
WOW - I had a L-O-N-G day today!! 14 yr old ds had a BB game first thing this morning at 8 a.m. (WHO decides these things?? Freaks!!) LOL. Well, they won 39-9, so it was worth it. THEN - his 8th grade class is going to our state's capitol at the end of March to see how the gov't works and they are raising the money to go themselves, so today they had a book fair at & Noble. They give out flyers to the customers and when people make purchases they give the slip to the clerk and then the school gets 10-20% of the sales during that time. WOW! I had a mani/pedi done for my quarterly pampering session - not to mention going to SF treat! OH - next! Girard (14 yr old ds) is 8th grade this year and goes to a private school. Soooooooo of course we need to be thinking about "High School" this year and where he is going to go. He wanted to continue the private schooling education and I told him "you get admitted, I will figure out the finances" - so we went to the open house, toured the school, he went and spent a day there, then he had to take a placement exam and fill out the application and have teacher and/or principal fill out a form.... THEN, we had to wait (been since I think Dec that the test was).... well, we got the letters today and he was accepted into this school's class of 2011! I was so excited! There's nothing wrong with our city's local public schools, I am sure, it just comes down to excellence and stuff like that. Sooooooo I am resigned to being strapped financially for another 4 yrs - at least. That isn't even talking college, eh? Proud Mama - sounds about right. Anyway, through all of this.... I have racked up 10,000 + steps today! That is a rarity, especially on a non-Curves day!! Eating was alright - albeit "mall food" today.... and during the movie, I only got a bottle of water and had 1 piece of G's licorice. OHHHH another excitement! I was reading through my Joyce Meyer magazine I get in the mail.... the weekend of the "marathon" walk (ok, ok, ok... it's *only* a 12K (7.5 miles) but feels like a marathon)..... anyway, that same weekend, Joyce Meyer is going to be here! WoOOOooohhhooooooo.... I seriously have to think about the logistics of this. Her "shows" are FREE, but I need to think the logistics of maybe missing work Friday (there is a Thurs p.m., then Fri a.m. and Fri p.m. program, and Sat a.m.)... so I need to seriously think of this, especially since it is that same weekend. I can do this, I know I can. If it is meant to be, it will work out. OK, I am tired. I have laundry to do and packing. Talk with you later. I was so excited! Congrats! > Eating was alright Not around here - the boys gave me thir flus (plural). I have the sore throat that Henry started his with and the constant runny nose that Ed had, with a touch of totally closed up ears and a constant hiss in the right one that makes this uniquely mine. The boys were writing me notes all day yesterday because I can't hear a word they were saying. As for food, well, who can eat when you can't breathe? I just nibbled a bit here and then and tried to drink as much as I could, even though that meant I was up to the bathroom every half hour, even overnight. > the weekend of the " marathon " walk (ok, ok, ok... it's > *only* a 12K (7.5 miles) but feels like a marathon). Eh, wear your stepmeter in the mall some day and you'll hit that 7.5 miles easy! You already did 5 miles yesterday! Sue in NJ waiting for Ed to wake up so I can go back to bed
