I was wondering, how did you pick your goal weight? 165-170 is the high end of the charts that "they say" I should weigh based on my height. I am not totally going for "their goals for me" and that legalism. I *am* aiming for 180-190 which is what I weighed b.c. (before children)... I will reevaluate at that time. I think IMHO that I would look like a sick, anorexic twig at 164-170, so we'll see. I guess a good gauge is going to be when I am there and my doctor is pleased LOL!! Guest guest
Well, I was looking at various sites for size and body fat percentage. I remember what I was like at 120 before, so that is why I chose that number. For me that is 138 pounds less than today. I have always wanted a flat stomache. With all my stretch marks, I don't really know how feesable that is, but that is what I am shooting for. Due to recent developments in my personal life, I am going to put myself on a challenge to see how much I can lose by March 15. It will only be a kick off for the long term goal and weight loss venture, but if I can do well during these next 8 weeks, I think that it will be very encouraging and motivational for me. I am aware there is no way for me to lose 138 pounds by that date and if somehow it were to be possible, that it would be so very unhealthy for me. But I will do my routine weekly Wednesday weigh ins, but since march 15 is 8 weeks from tomorrow, for the next 8 weeks I will be weighing on Thursday as well. Sorry, that is a bit off topic, but it is what I am doing. *hugs* How much have you lost so far Twin mom? Last I heard you were down 55 pounds? Are you still there or has it dropped anymore? Guest guest
56 pounds and counting so far, Shirley! That last pound was hard fought - it took almost a whole month to come off, but I've been holding steady at 189 for a week now. I am SUPER excited about that, because that is a weight I have not seen since early high school. My losses have really slowed down a lot since Halloween, but it's okay - I am still making progress. I believe I will reach my goal weight, whether it takes another year or another two or three - I am going to make it!!! I feel SO much better at this weight than I did at 245, it is just incredible. I can jump! I can bend! I can run!!! It's just wonderful - and I don't care how long it takes or how many notebooks I have to fill up logging my calories, I am NOT going back up the scale. Guest guest
My goal weight is 130-135. This is the lowest I have been and could still eat healthy. I weight that 13? yrs ago so it migh change. My short term goal is getting under 200. The charts have me anywhere from 98-130. I think that is unrealistic for my build. I don't think the included my birthing hips and big boobs into the equation. Tammy

They don't figure out maturity, child-bearing, etc. Or frame size, etc.... that's why I say I am going to go by how I look *and* feel LOL - ok and if my doctor says "that's good"
