Guest guest
MondayDecember 18, 2006 COUNT `EM, 7 DAYS In a week from today, we will all be sitting around the Christmas tree opening presents and cluttering the living room floor with bows and ripped paper. What will you weigh on Christmas day? I went shopping again yesterday after my radio show, and I have never seen such crowds! It`s like the stores were giving things away, like "The Ellen Degeneres Show"! And every place I went into, they were having a sale, and you know how people act at a sale. They go berserk! My brother and his wife are very hard to buy for. Do you have people in your life like that? Their new house is so beautiful, so I thought I`d get them maybe an "Object D'Arte" to put in their living room or Egyptian cotton sheets for their bed or matching suede jewelry boxes. Well, I went into about 20 places and came up empty handed. They will be here on Saturday morning, so after class, I`ll put them in the car, and they can pick out what they want. Oh, now back to that question I asked you. What will you weigh on Christmas Day? More or less than you weigh right now? In the next 7 days, you can lose a pound or a pound-and-a-half or maybe 2, and I think you would like that! With a raise of hands, how many of you have gained weight during prior Christmas holidays? Thanks for your honesty, but why not flip that coin and lose weight this time around? And you know how to do it, don`t you? By staying focused on your goals! By eating the amount of calories and fat grams that are figured out in your FoodMover. (One quarter of our new purple FoodMovers are already gone! I guess they make great stocking stuffers, LOL!) And you know what else you have to do. You`ve got to work out today, tomorrow, and every day after that! It sounds so simple, doesn`t it, but we know it`s not! It`s hard work, and you, my friend, have never been afraid of hard work! Enjoy this glorious week that you know nothing about yet, but it will unfold. Eat your meals at home. This week, get in the kitchen and prepare your own meals. Is your tree up? All the gifts wrapped? Is the wreath with the red bow on the front door? Gee, you`d better get hopping!
