Guest guest
How close do you live to your mom? Do you see her often? Honey, if a coworker that sees you practically daily notices and your sweety hubby notices, if you don't see your mom, she will notice. 18 pounds is wonderful! Great job! Guest guest
Mom lives in the same county, and we do not want to go there in our discussion it would be way off topic. But just to summarize nothing I do will ever please her, I can not move beyond that little skinny 18 year old that made one mistake of getting pregnant and she is never going to forgive me for that, I am 45 now and have a very successful career and have also moved up the ranks of 4-H leadership but I will never right the wrong of getting pregnant when I was 18. And being fat now is the punishment that I must endure for getting pregnant without being married back then. Well anyway enough about that.Shirley Cleaver <shiri.mama@...> wrote: How close do you live to your mom? Do you see her often? Guest guest
Don't aim to impress the buttheads in your life. My M-I-L is one of those. I'm down 55 pounds, and EVERYONE can see it, but she absolutely refuses to comment. But, really, so what? You don't need your mother's approval to validate what you are doing in life. Lose weight for yourself - so that YOU can be healthy and active and happy! Don't let one ounce of satisfaction hinge on your mother's approval - and then she can't steal any of your joy when you reach your goals!!! > > Mom lives in the same county, and we do not want to go there in our discussion it would be way off topic. Guest guest
, Where you going in CA... San Francisco is my all time favorite city in the states.... I just love the flair of the city. But its been a while since I have been to SF....mh... 6 years.... Well have fun on you trip. BTY how much do you want to loose less on Feb 3? I am shooting for 10 lb this month, just because it goes fast the first few weeks.... Next month I will lower my expectations to 7 lb. -- Re: Re: Someone noticed ! Hi and welcome! Sounds like you know what you are going to do again and how to get there. That's an excellent plan weighing the 1st of the month (I decided to weigh the last Friday of the month at Curves LOL) I have a goal for Feb 3rd to weigh less than Jan 1st (only cuz that is when I leave for CA again) ;-) Nice to meet you, look forward to watching your progress
Guest guest
I know EXACTLY what you mean. When I started last May, my twins were 4. You'd think I would have been skinny chasing them around, but my weight really limited how much fun we could have. I was always so tired, sore, cranky, out of breath. Losing weight has made such a huge difference already, and I can't even imagine what it is going to be like in another 25 pounds - much less at my goal weight!!! Get moving, . You are going to be SHOCKED at how fast your body starts to get stronger and stronger. I am hoping that this year I am able to run a good part of the Thanksgiving 5K that I walked this past year. If you had asked me last January if I EVER thought I could run AT ALL, I would have just laughed. Anyway, let's do it!!! > > > well lets rephrase that due to the fact that I have so much extra weight to > lug around I am often too lazy to run around with my kids. > So, what will I change this year.... eating less, moving more and weighing > each 1st of the month less than the last 1st of the month. > > >

San Francisco is my all time favorite city in the states.... I just love the flair of the city. Hi ! My b/f lives in San Obispo - I usually go there, but we got a sale on flight/hotel packages to SF, so are going there!! It's rough living so far apart, but we do get to see each other 5-6 x a year. BTY how much do you want to loose less on Feb 3? I am shooting for 10 lb this month, just because it goes fast the first few weeks.... When I weighed on Dec 29th, I was *up* to 288 - which is a total of a 9 lb gain since Oct and messing around up... down... up...down.... I got sick and just quit caring for the most part again for 2 months. So, my goal was really to be back down all of those pounds - I am sure some of it was post-holiday and PMS/TOM retention, bloat, etc... but STILL!! So, in a nutshell, I want those 9 lbs back off - at least!! I weighed tonight at Curves and it looked like 4-5 lbs off this week - so the bloat, for sure!! Next month I will lower my expectations to 7 lb. I haven't decided what I want to accomplish in Feb - but that b/f noted in comment #1 above? LOL - he says "your job is to lose the weight, my job is to buy the new clothes" so I don't get all freaked out about buying new clothes and I wanna shop in SF!! :-) Thanks,

Be sure to take measurements of everything important that you can and watch the numbers go away. Even though I've *only* lost 24 lbs at the present time - I have lost over 65+ inches, so "something" is working and "if it ain't broke, I ain't a fixing it" :-)
Guest guest
I'm down 55 so far, and I did it mostly by counting calories and exercising. I started with walking around the neighborhood and watching my portions, and just built from there each month. I shoot for about 1500 calories a day and try to work out at least 4 times a week. Motivation - well, it's embarrassing to admit, but the look on my in- laws' faces when I showed up at Christmas weighing so much less was one thing that kept me really motivated. NOW - I have promised myself a trip to Cedar Point in May if I stay on track and keep losing. I am a roller coaster junkie. > > Twinmom > How much weight have you lost so far... Guest guest
, Awesome 65+ inches.... I am amazed... See the last time I lost weight, I was loosing steadily 2 lb, however my clothes got looser and looser and I could tell that way actually better. Therefore, at first I wanted to loose weight without a scale... However, that is just too hard... I need those little numbers to confirm my feeling. However, I will go and buy myself one of those tape today so I can measure too -- Re: Re: Someone noticed ! In a message dated 1/4/2007 11:40:43 P.M.
