IS FOOD THE ENEMY?

Women and men all over the country have gone to their closets to find that a

lot of the clothes they were going to wear for the holidays don`t fit

anymore! Gosh, what does that mean? It means you put on weight, and your

buttons don`t button, and your zippers don`t zip! So what do some of these

people do? They starve! It`s the easy, simple, and quick way to lose weight,

and it doesn`t cost a thing! All you have to do is stop eating everything.

That`s right; no breakfast, lunches, dinners, or snacks for you! You can

drink water, though serious starvers keep their water drinking to a bare

minimum. You`ve heard of water weight, haven`t you?

The first day of starving is pretty hard, but as the days go by, it gets

lots easier. In a week, you can drop 8 pounds, 10 pounds, or more. And when

you have to go to that family holiday party, your clothes will button and

zip, I promise. And won`t you look nice?

Well, actually, you`ll look tired, draggy, and just plain awful. Oh, and the

breath of a starver is unlike anything you have ever smelled, because when

you give your body no nutrients, your body starts to eat itself up to stay

alive. Isn`t that nice to do to your body? Starving can also affect your

electrolytes and your brain, your heart, and your circulation.

Look, if there are clothes in your closet that don`t fit, don`t wear them!

There`s got to be something in your wardrobe you look nice in, so wear that.

Don`t do anything to punish your body to fit in an outfit.

You remember yesterday; that was Monday. Did you plan your week? Do you know

what you`re eating every day and what kind of exercise you`ll be doing?

Well, this week will be filled with lots of " busy-ness, " so eat a salad

every day, and do your leg lifts high in the sky every day, and you`ll get

through it all.

Now promise me there will be none of this starving! I don`t care how much

you weigh or how much you have to lose, always try your best to give your

body the healthiest of food to keep it going!
