Ohhhhhhh yeah!! Going into a "long" holiday weekend? Just lovely. Let's see, husband is a pastor. One of the busiest weekends of the church year. Have so many worship services this weekend we might as well just stay at the church. Going to go visit the in-laws next week!. My MIL & TOM are NEVER a good combination. Yep. Going to be a great time. (she says sarcastically)! My poor hubby is going to be soooo thrilled (sarcasm again)! Guest guest
> Waaaah - at least I can " feel it coming on " About the only good thing about being peri-menopausal is that the " monthlies " come only twice a year until the end. No more spoiled holidays or vacations. > Ohhhhhhh yeah!! Going into a " long " holiday weekend? Just lovely. Well, it *is* better than being caught at work with it, right? But, I > knew it was going to be a battle when tonight on the way home I was thinking > things like " Bacon cheeseburger, fries, milkshake, chocolate, etc " ----- help! Oh, heck, I was like that yesterday just having Ed home again! He wanted to drag me out for a fast food dinner and I insisted we stay home and let me make the veggie meal I planned on! As compensation I made him some blueberry muffins so he was happy. > Oh, and you know those lovely nutter butter cookies?? It's been ages since I thought of them! Now I have to get them out of my mind. I'm already hearing the call of the butter in the freezer, begging me to make a few pounds of those spritz butter cookies, but I already told my guys I won't be making them again this year and they're both okay with that. But still, it *is* traditional . . . > I " only " had 4 tonight!! If I made my butter cookies I know I would " only " eat about 4 *dozen*!! LOL > OK, tomorrow is the " cookie exchange " Good luck, and I hope you brought your blinders to help keep them all out of your sight! At least some sugar free gum to chew on. Guest guest
It's good you can feel it coming on. I usually don't realize I have it til I am yelling and throwing fits. I am getting better at realizing it but it still sneaks up sometimes. I love long holiday weekends. DH works tonight(today is his Friday) BUT then he is off til Jan 2 or so. I am glad to have the time with him but I will probably get tired of him being "underfoot". LOL Good luck on the potluck! Blessed be,
Guest guest
Boy, does THAT sound familiar!!! I have spent a lot of years getting my period and apologizing for the past week. Since I started having regular cycles this year, it has seemed like a real blessing. I don't know exactly when my PMS is going to start, but I know when I ovulate, so pretty much a week after that life becomes a minefield! At least there are signs up around the minefield now - LOL!!! > > It's good you can feel it coming on. I usually don't realize I have it til I am yelling and throwing fits. LOL actually I wasn't too tempted. The team next door had a potluck so I went and raided their carrots and a little "dip" and only had a couple of the cookies from the party offered to me. Guest guest
LOL - poooooor Dacia!! I'll throw out extra prayers for you this weekend!! My 14 yr old ds is "serving" at the midnight mass and then the 11 a.m. Christmas morning one, so basically have to be back 12 hrs later. Not as many programs/services as you have from the sounds of it, but still!!

This is why I have a calendar LOL - I don't have a typical 28-day cycle I go more like 6-8 weeks, depending on my stress level, so I have to calendar it. Now, I do not go through the yelling and throwing fits any longer, but I do start to get moody "Bitchy" somewhat, but not yelling, etc. :-) The other night, it was "brat" mode on the phone with b/f - not to the extent he wanted to quit talking with me, but I realized it. Also have had a back ache for a couple of days, a good hint.
Guest guest
> LOL actually I wasn't too tempted. Congrats. I was the opposite. Ed brought more goodies home from work and just *insisted* I sample some of them. Who can say No to home made Christmas butter cookies? I *should* have! Between those cookies and the salty foods I ate yesterday (and forgot to take my water pill) the scale was up 4 pounds today! YIKES!!! Guest guest
> Note to self: stay off the scale for two weeks (??) Oh, heck! I was on it a number of times during the day yesterday! LOL By the time Ed got home from work I was back down to 274, and that was *after* lunch. But now I have no choice, as the scale is under the bed and he's home until Wednesday and loves to sleep late. Since I wake up at 5am, even on most days off, my day is in full swing by the time he wakes up, and I'm not going to hop on after my shower and breakfast. I'm hoping to stay off until at least the day after New Year's. By then the salty Christmas ham and all its leftovers will be out of my system.
