You can`t buy them on the internet or in any store anywhere, and not even your closest friends can give them to you. I`m talking today about dreams. Everything begins with a dream! Every project in your life begins in your mind, in the form of a dream. You don`t have to be asleep to have all your dreams. You can have dreams… all day long! They are called daydreams.

Dreams have come to me while brushing my teeth or soaking in a bath tub. The minute I have a dream, I grab for my dream book and write it down. Yes, a dream book – just a little diary with empty pages waiting to be filled. A dream gives you a seed of a goal, and the rest is up to you. Sometimes, a dream will only come around once, or you can dream the same dream over and over again for years. Whatever the dream is, write the dream down. I do!

The next thing you have to do is nurture your dreams. After I write down a dream on the top of a page, I expound on that dream with a plan to make my dreams come true. At the beginning of this process, it is important not to tell anyone, and I mean anyone, what`s running around in your head, and it`s very important not to tell anyone about your dream book. You will know when your dream is ready for an audience.

I used to have constant dreams about every one of my projects that has taken flight, and I dream every day about goals I want to reach. When I moved into my home 27 years ago, I planted a small tree that was my father`s favorite tree, the Norfolk pine, near my bathroom window. I bought special plant food from that actor who sells Miracle Grow on TV. When it got windy here, I had the tree protected so it would not break. Well, now it needs no protection, because it probably stands over 25 feet tall for all the birds and bees to see! I know if it keeps growing and growing, I will be able to climb it all the way to heaven! I can dream, can`t I?
