's Daily Message MondayNovember 27, 2006BODY ROBBERY

Since early Friday morning, I have been receiving emails that sound like this.

Dear ,

I am so ashamed of myself. I planned on staying on program for Thanksgiving, but I didn`t. I have gained 2 – 4 – 6 pounds. I hadn`t had turkey, gravy, stuffing, and sweet potatoes for such a long time, and I just couldn`t do the small portion thing! There is only one way to get rid of this weight fast. I`m just going to starve for a while!”

You know, I get upset when I read emails from intelligent people and they talk to me about starving. I`m the king of starving! I`ve done it hundreds of times, and there was one time when starving almost killed me. Oh, that would be killing myself, wouldn`t it?

Starving means literally not eating. The first day is tough, but you get through it, and when you wake up the next morning, you can`t believe the energy you have, because when you starve, your body begins to use up whatever calories you have left in your system. Plus, your body doesn`t have to spend energy and time metabolizing food, and that makes you a little high. When you get on the scale on day 3, you will find a nice weight loss – maybe 5 pounds in 3 days! Pretty good, huh? Then as the starving days go on, your energy days are gone because you have starved your body and robbed it of all its nutrients, and when you rob your body of nutrients, your body gets sick and dies.

Hey, if you put some weight on during last week`s holiday, get back on Blast Off week this week on your FoodMover. Oh! By the way, the new FoodMovers are in – the purple edition! Here`s what you need to do. Go back to planning all your meals. Make a major effort to drink your 8 8-oz. glasses of water daily and up your workout time. Add 15 minutes to your walks and other cardio programs, and get your toning in at least 3 times this week.

So no more talking about starving, okay? Do it the healthy way, and your body will reward you tenfold!

Love,
