Guest guest
I've decided to only eat things that are absoluly delicious. Stange sounding plan, I know. The thing is that I've been eating alot of things that are a decadence weight wise but don't taste like decadence. For example having a sweet danish from the bakery, or sneaking in a sugery chocolate bar now and then. Problem is that these things aren't paerticualry tasty, they don't make my body quiver with exstasy...I just hope they will. They are food pick me ups without the pick up. Heres an example from yesterday. I was working as a living statue/performer from 11 till 2 and was ravenous. I was in a shoping centre so went to the food court. I checket out all of the ussual places but there was nothing appealing! nothing that would make my tastebuds quiver with delight...until i can accross the health food place. There was mixed salad with a bit of chicken and there was fresh apple, pineapple and watermelon juice. I was in heaven. Before my big decision I might have gone for a kabab or curry knowing that it was just ok tatsing food, nothing special. Now I realise that what really works is well prepared healthy stuff. - (Chocolate is still ok, but only the 70% orage lint chock that you can only eat in small quantities because it's so rich)
Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: Wocket > my body quiver with exstasy... Hmmmm..... If you want your body to quiver with ecstacy maybe you should try sex instead of food. I understand what you are saying though. Tonight I went to a Tex Mex restaurant with my husband and kids. It was so loud that it was far more stressful than peaceful. Football was on TV so my family was watching the tube instead of each other even though we're not football fans. The food was ok but definately not worth the money and calories. I feel bad for putting all that crappy food in my body when it wasn't even very good. What was the point? We could have had a simple meal at home for very little money, in a quiet environment where we could actually talk to each other. I love going out but I need to make sure it is going to be worth the calories and expense. Ann
Guest guest
I worked at a Stover store while I was in college, and I came to kind of the same conclusion. We were allowed to eat all the candy we wanted while we were at work. At first, I would nibble all day, but after a couple of weeks, I decided I would not eat any candy that I did not absolutely love! It really worked. I quit wasting calories on mediocre candy, and although I did not lose weight while I worked there, I didn't gain, either - mostly because I got very picky about which chocolates I would eat. > > I've decided to only eat things that are absoluly delicious. Guest guest
I used to work with someone whose previous job was over 10 years as a counter person in a service bakery (like when you go to Safeway to order a cake). She did some of the baking, too. This woman was slender and healthy. She said it only took a couple of days to " get over " the " fresh bread " smell, the choc chip cookie smell, etc. She had no problem staying away from it. OK, back to 100plus stuff - I haven't been posting much because I am rather bobbing up and down on the scale. I was up 3.8 lbs last week but I was wearing heavy jeans that I usually never wear to WI. Plus it was midday, and I usually WI first thing in AM. So, I was down 2 of those this week, wearing the normal pants. I'm not going completely stupid over holiday foods (the gift baskets and pastries are coming into office at a heavy clip now)but I'm not depriving myself either. I have done some more researching on the water aerobics class. I have a tentative schedule and have started to work a later shift to compensate. I shopped for a suit but the new ones start at $85. I'm checking the Goodwill later this week. The classes are drop-in or you can buy a 10-class pass. There is also a weight room and some other facilities. Depending on when I get the suit, I could start next week or even Thursday this week, but that might be a push. I wore a swim suit at 5'2 " and 285 pounds so anyone can wear a swimsuit! Two words...... board shorts. Ann
