It`s hard to believe that I have just a few Sundays left in the year to do my radio show on Sirius Satellite Radio! I have a wonderful show planned for today. I have a wonderful group of people that work on the show. Thank you, Mark, Rita, Iris, , Bill, and Vennie and my Slimmons staff! And thank you to all the nice people who come to be part of our audience every Sunday! Last but not least, I want to thank many of you who listen to my show each week. I pray my show helps people " Lighten Up, " face their fears, and reach their goals. After the show today, I will go home and get dressed up and then start my… Chris…Chris… t… mas shopping! Can you tell I`m a bit panicked? I love to give gifts, but I don`t like to shop for them. I will drive to different parts of the city and walk around and see what window displays tempt me. I will also go to this pet store that I go to every year to say hello to all the puppies. Here`s what I do. I look around and pick a little kid who is standing with his or her parents and holding one of the puppies in his hands. I see if this kid and the parents really want this dog; then I find someone who works there, and I pay for the puppy, and I leave! I have such a good time doing this, and I know that pet will have a happy home and a story! Then I get out my list and check it twice to see who is naughty and nice. LOL! I always jot down an idea of what I want to get each person, but that all seems to change while I`m shopping. I buy things that people would not normally buy for themselves, and I must say, I have great shopping intuition. I walk in every store singing and wishing everyone happy holidays! And while I browse around, people are always coming up to me saying that they watch me on TV and like the work that I`m doing. And in many of the stores, there are plates and plates of cookies, fudge, brownies, and fancy wrapped hard candy, and everyone watches me like a hawk to see if I`m going to feed my face with a sweet, holiday treat! After a few hours of this yearly tradition of mine, I will go home, plop myself in the tub, and think of all the fun I had today! I wish for you a fun Sunday, too.
