Guest guest
's Daily Message Wednesday November 08, 2006 JUST KEEP GOING was a health inspector, and her job was to go to fast food eateries to make sure these places are sanitary and are following all the health rules. went in the back to look in the large refrigerator, but during her inspection, the door closed and hit the back of her foot. The pain was so excruciating, she could hardly move. She went to the doctors, because the pain grew worse every day. was diagnosed with a disorder known as RSD, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. She began taking several pain medications and became bedridden. had to lie in bed hardly moving for 5-7 days at a time, and during that period of time, put on 100 pounds. One day she said, " Enough is enough! I can`t lie here and have no life. " Her doctor was very worried about the weight she gained and told her she had to lose it. With RSD, the theory is that the less you weigh, the less pain you will have. remembered using the Deal-a-Meal cards years ago, and she remembered a lot about portions and the food groups. Her doctor gave her a copy of the diabetic food exchange plan, and she thought, " WOW! This is just like Deal-a-Meal! " As she began losing weight, she began to have less pain. She would push herself a little more, telling herself she was gonna make it. She had a copy of my " Sit Tight " workout and started doing a few minutes every day. From there, she got herself a quad cane for balance, so she could just begin walking a little. also began getting in the pool and taking water arthritis classes and loving them! I got to speak with , and oh, what a fantastic lady she is. started in a bed, hardly moving at 220 pounds, and is now down to 136 pounds! Applause, please! tells me her doctor is amazed at her strength. told me she is always going to have this disorder. She is always going to have pain in her life, but something inside her says, " Just keep going! " And that`s exactly what she`s doing! , thank you for sharing your story with us. You have taught all of us something about true willpower! Love,
