's Daily Message MondayOctober 30, 2006HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LENNY!

My mother and father really wanted kids. I`m sure glad they did! On October 30, 1946, Shirley gave birth to Leonard , Jr. Oh, and what a gorgeous baby he was! Leonard was born with a full head of blond hair and Hershey chocolate brown eyes, and I have scrapbooks to prove it! I have one out now as I write this to you.

I have a picture of my brother when he was 1 week old. My mother`s got him in her arms, and my father has Shirley in his arms. There`s Lenny and his cake with 1 candle in the middle. I must have 150 pictures of Lenny when he was a kid! Gee, I wonder if he has that many pictures of me? LOL!

Lenny was a quiet and serious child, sometimes too serious. That`s why Shirley had mois, so I could tickle his funny bone, and believe me, I did! I could always make my brother laugh till his face turned red. I loved seeing him in his hysterical stage. I also liked to hug my brother. I hugged him in the morning, and I hugged him at night. He didn`t like it much, but he let me do it!

My brother was extremely scholastic. He studied hard and was a straight A student. On the other hand, I was not. He never would do my homework for me, but he would sit with me until I figured it out.

I cried at the drop of a napkin. Lenny held his tears in and still does, just like our father. My brother never said anything about my weight or what I ate. I ate everything, and Lenny was a very picky eater. He was slim, and what he didn`t eat, I ate for him!

On this day, I honor my brother Lenny on his 60th birthday! How I wish I could be there to make you laugh until your face turns red! I wish I was there to hug on you and give you 60 kisses on your cheek. Oh, I wish I was there to rub your back. You always liked that. Have a wonderful birthday with your wife, , and your dearest of friends! I will look at my scrapbooks all day and think of you, while I look at all 150 pictures of you!
