's Daily Message Friday

TGIF!

Happy Friday to you! Congratulations for completing another week of work. I

know you worked hard, but the question today is did you work hard every day

on your body? Oh, what we put our bodies through! Did you work on your body

by working out? From Monday till today, how many days have you exercised?

You do remember our November challenge that is to work out at least 30

minutes a day. Well, have you been honoring that challenge?

We are all busy, ain`t that the truth? But you`ve got to figure out when you

can exercise and how to do that daily. My preference is to shake in the

morning at… 5:30. OUCH! That`s early, isn`t it? It`s so early that some of

the singers of my records and CDs are still sleeping, LOL! After my stretch,

I do my cardio for 45 minutes. No, it`s not the same as doing it in front of

a big class at Slimmons, but hey, I`m doing it in front of a mirror, so

there are two of us! I do the same movements and combos I teach in my

classes, and no, I don`t wear a tank top and shorts. I take breaks, drink my

water, and get in 500 leg lifts.

As you know, I have my share of aches and pains and a little arthritis

thrown in the mix. Three days a week, I lift weights. I can`t say that I

adore lifting weights, but I do it because I can see what the weights have

done for my muscles, bones, and posture.

And before retiring, I take a few minutes to stretch my body again, thanking

my body for taking such good care of me today. When I work out, I do so like

it`s going to be my last workout. I give it my all and then some, and that`s

why I have stayed pretty much the same weight for all these years. I know

I`m your personal trainer, but I`m my (Sue's note: No, I didn't skip

anything - this is how this is on the web site, left dangling mid-sentence)

Please follow in my sweaty footsteps and get your workouts in, all 3 of

them – stretching, toning, and cardio! Hey, try getting up at 5:30 one

morning, and put on one of my tapes! I promise I will wake you up, body and

soul!
