Hi All,

Sorry, just want to vent a little...

Went for my physiotherapy appointment today. Actually went for the appointment feeling pretty ok actually, my pain level was about 2/10 - pretty good for me actually. My physiotherapist decided to start doing a little manual therapy today, massaging my neck. Hence I laid face down when the therapy was done.

However, after i got up, I felt really very giddy, and my vision was quite blur for a while. Could not stand properly. The giddiness lasted for a long time, more than an hour. My pain also worsened. The therapist was concerned as i was giddy for a long time, but my blood pressure was normal. She was worried that I could be anaemic, but I remembered my haemoglobin level was normal in a recent blood test although the red blood cell count was slightly below normal... Anyone has this problem as me?

The therapist actually wanted to send me to the emergency dept to get it checked out, but I was really stubborn and did not want to go. I guess I made her pretty fed up, I feel so bad about this actually. But it's just that I know the emergency department cannot do much for me, except for a blood test, and will most likely admit me into hospital again. I do not want that - I just got discharged recently!!!

Now I keep having those mixed feelings - guilt at making things difficult for my therapist. I actually gave in at one point and agreed to go to the emergency department, but later I changed my mind as I felt a little better and just hated going to the ER again. I guess I just have this silly attitude of hating to trouble others. This giddy episode also really scared me today, making me a little afraid of these physiotherapy sessions now, and kind of losing hope too.
