Guest guest
I have been wanting to join this group for awhile and then the one of the big tonados down south hit us and pretty much wiped everything out so It has taken me a long time to post the tests that my GP Dr. is going to run. He thinks I have CFS, because I have had 13 surgeries ing the last 3 and one half years. My GP called an endocrinologist to see what tests he thought he should run. And if it's ok I will the tests that he is wanting and if you can think of any more that you have had that have been proven helpful, please reply back to me. So far over this 3 years my body has been under an extreme amount of stress just from all the medicines then the birth defects and things that they have found in my gastrointrstional tract. Several different doctorsthink that the chonic pain is resulting from a reffered pain from my gastrointestional system. And many of them think I have developed CFS from everything.....but none of them around here seem to know much about the disease beyond the name. The Meds I take are Below: Fentanyl Pain Patch Nucynta Pain Medication Lyrics 300 mg Cymbalta 90 mg Synthroid 150mcg Cytomel 25mcg Benicar 20 mg 2xd Nuvigil - 250 mg GI Cocktail Nuvlev .15 Dispas .15 Ambien Ortho Tri Cyclen Plus, I should mession that over about the last 8 months or so, I have been so exhausted that I just " crash " for several days after I go hava a little pep in my step. I need at least 14 hours of sleep anight if not more. And then I can sleep 12 hours and feel like I got 5 minutes of sleep. And I was on all of my meds a long time before this tiredness started. But, I swear the exhaustion may be jsut as bad as the pin. And I definately know that my meds make me tired but I have been o them for 4 years almost and juststrarting having this bedilitating exhaustion. I am hoping we find some answeres that we can treat. I am alo thinking of trying D-Ribose for energy And Valerion Root or something for sleep besides the ambien. Below: Are Tests the Dr. Ordered: c3 c4 IGF IGF23 Lymes titre EBV titre Aldolase CPK LOH SPE AM Cortisol VJD After I get done writing this message I am going to look up the above tests to see what I can find out about them. Any suggestions that you may have would be greatly appreciated! I just want to feel a little beter!
Guest guest
I always suggest a " newbie " start with Dr. Teitlbaums list of tests, found on his web site www.endfatigue.com Those are the basic's to which after a few months, one can start crawling back to better health. I will tell you that in my 15 years of CFS, I have heard of very few getting well, by following mainstream medicine. Looks like you GP has a few good tests. What lymes test is he using?? I have had CFS twice in life---once at age 34, and second at age 52, till now. I am 80% functional, and blessed.
