Certainly will have to start doing them again. Hope this helps. Marti Message #126916 I do caffeine cleanse with a twist - bascially, forcing the toxins out within 12-14 hrs rather than letting them circulate for a week or so. I get the stools moving BEFORE the caffeine enema, then keep it moving. The low volume caffeine enema triggers a nerve in the lower 4 " of the rectum which signals the bile ducts to empty into the intestines which I bind with charcoal and get it out pronto. It is a great way to purge the toxins in the bile ducts of the liver. I boil 2 tablespoons of organic regular coffee (not decaf) in 2 cups of distilled water. Boil for 10 minutes. Cool till warm. I do a Fleet enema first to clear out colon then fill empty bottle with warm, filtered coffee water. This is a LOW volume enema and is not meant to go high in the colon, just last 3-4 inches. It is not meant to stimulate you either so if you get a caffeine rush, you are injecting it too high in the colon. This is done Saturday noon but I start the process the night before. I may do it twice. I just keep doing it until the bile ducts have opened. Again, it is low volume (3 oz) and not high in the colon so stay vertical if possible. Fri night - 400mg Magnesium or however much it takes to get the stool softened and loose. Sat morning 400mg Magnesium, Lots of water throughout the day. Sat noon - caffeine cleanse until I feel/hear the gurgle (at first I used a stethoscope but now can usually feel/hear it without), then 6 Charcoal Capsules to absorb what goes from gut to bloodstream Sat Night - 6 more Charcoal Caps & if needed, one last 200 - 400 mg Mag to keep things moving fast, (If I continue to feel nausea, then I might try pectin, other blood purifiers like chlorophyll or soak in Epsom Salts bath) Sun Morn - feeling better. Then I double up on my regular vitamins/minerals to replace what charcoal took out. Many trips to bathroom, Sat & Sun but then whatever emptied from bile ducts in liver is OUT of my body in about 12 -14 hours rather than circulating for the next week to ten days. I know it's out when I see stools that show the effect of the first dose of charcoal (black stools) which was taken just after the caffeine cleanse. Sometimes the stool burns and is somewhat acid. If I am having a rough spell, I will do this procedure 2 to 3 times per wk. It is a great way to relieve a sluggish liver and the resulting poisoning that some people can have (my problem is ammonia). I really do so much better health wise when I do it once a week. (I have been lazy lately). I also was working when I developed this that is why you see the weekend reference. PLEASE NOTE: I would NOT do it if you are currently constipated or you will just make yourself sicker. If this is too much work for you then taking 2-3 charcoal capsules with some magnesium if very effective for me to clear toxicity. This is part of several protocols. Just don't overdo the charcoal (don't take more than 10 capsules) and don't take charcoal with medications or supplements. Take 2 hours apart.
