Guest guest
I have had both CFS and Fibro. for over 25 years. I'm 50 now. They suspect I may also have either Sarcoidosis or MS. My doctor found out through my blood work that I have no antibodies to either Hep. A or Hep. B and recommends a series of 3 vaccines. Has anyone had these? I'm hesitant to get any vaccines, because I think they're part of the reason I got sick in the first place (when I joined the military). I'm pretty much housebound, so I'm not in the public all that much. But I go to the VA for all of my appts., which places me around quite a few people each time. Thank you for your help. Guest guest
Dear Sue Take a look at Atlas Profilax, its a manipulative treatment that normal Chiropractors don't do as it is the first of the vertebrae below the skull. A displaced atlas can cause partial (or perhaps complete) occlusion of one jugular vein causing symptoms of CCSVI which is all the rage in the MS circles at the moment. I've has MS symptoms in the past without the lesions visible on characteristic MRI . After the Atlas Profilax treatment many of my symptoms went into remission. I then stupidly went back into tick country and after failing to find one of the little beasts til it was too late, have been back in the pits again. Guest guest
A prominent CFS physician/researcher recently told me that he suspects that a HEp B (think it was hep b but could have been the combo) vaccination transmitted the mouse retrovirus that is now implicated in CFS.. I am speaking of XMRV/MULVs. He said he collected some blood samples from PWCs in his practice in europe about a decade ago or longer and sent them for analysis to the NCI here in the states along with blood from healthy volunteers. The blood from PWCs was loaded with animal viruses, he said. He pointed out that mice prey on lots of other animals ...hence accounting for the diversity of animal virues. You know....For what it's worth. I'm with ValKitty. I'm done with vaccinations. > > > > hi sue - a vaccine put me over the cliff 15 years ago or so - so i', > am also very leery...hep b is a blood born pathogen - since needles aren't > reused and everybody now uses gloves anywhere near blood - it protects them and > you- as long as your sexual partner doesn't have hep b, it shouldn't be a > problem...hep a is a food born pathogen...somebody with the disease doesn't wash > their hands and, for example,  makes potato salad...i think most folks who work > in kitchens now also wear gloves....speaking for myself, i wouldn't get these > vaccines...if you're well enough to travel to a developing country, hep a could > be worth it..infants are given hep b at birth these days - i think this is crazy > unless the mom as hep b... > good luck , > deb (an rn in my past life!) > > > ________________________________ > > >  > I have had both CFS and Fibro. for over 25 years. Guest guest
Hi Sue, I agree with - if your doc is recommending any vaccine (except maybe tetanus), you may have to weigh everything said by him/her. They might still be a great doctor in other ways but are missing a big component of ME/CFIDS'ers. My integrative/autism doc (she does Yasko and DAN! protocol) does not want me to get ANY vaccine (not even tetanus). She was furious with me when I had my son (pre-CFIDS) get the required meningitis (I think) injection for college. But meningitis goes fast from treatable to serious and at college, no one would be watching him so I felt it worth the risk. He handled the injection well but I will never let him get any other injections. Marti > > > > I have had both CFS and Fibro. for over 25 years. I'm 50 now. Guest guest
Hello Sue, My health declined quickly after a tetanus vaccine. Thirteen years later I am still not back to my pre tetanus vaccine health. From: marti_zavala@...
