Hi Everyone,

Has anyone heard of this? Is it to good to be true? Any thoughts? A friend

sent me this from a autism list. I seem to remember reading somewhere about

this. It would seem these tests would cover just about anything that a person

could come up with. If it were true we could all use it. Maybe I answered my

own question here. Reminds of those ads you see at the back of magazines

claiming that you can get rid of wrinkles etc... you get my drift. I was just

hoping I could find out information without subjecting Rochelle to bood

tests. We have such a time every year to get the thyroid tests required. If

you want to reply to me personally that is fine with me. This is loooong

Thanks.

Diane

Greetings and thank you for your inquiry in to the foodSCAN IgG ELISA

Food

Intolerance Test... the first and most comprehensive food intolerance

test

which does not require a blood draw!

For over 19 years, York Nutritional Laboratories has been the leading

specialist in food intolerance testing by providing relief throughout the

world to thousands of people who have suffered from food allergy induced

illnesses.

Braly, M.D., author of 'Food Allergy Relief' and 'Dr. Braly's Food

Allergy & Nutritional Revolution', recently stated, " By using the IgG

ELISA

technique, at the same time eliminating the need for a blood draw, this

test

represents a great step forward in the field of food allergy screening.

It

removes the barriers of poor reproducibility and inconvenience that

continues to plague competing tests.  Additionally, York Nutritional

Laboratories has completed several excellent studies, including a very

important independent audit through York University... This an excellent

food allergy testing laboratory.â€

Validated Quality and Reliability...

A recent study, consisting of over 1500 patients (the largest ever

relating

to delayed food allergies), has validated the quality and reliability of

the

foodSCAN IgG ELISA Food Intolerance Test.  Additionally, on January 22,

2001, the prestigious British Allergy Foundation reported the findings of

its independent audit on our IgG ELISA food intolerance testing services.

Not only did the British Allergy Foundation validate the foodSCAN, but

they

also now recommend the FoodSCAN to the general public.

Muriel , Chief Executive of the British Allergy Foundation

commented,

" The IgG tests conducted by York Nutritional Laboratories assisted people

in

identifying the foods causing their problems.  The results of this audit

made it very clear that if the foods identified were eliminated from the

diet, tremendous benefits were achieved.  The evidence for this food

intolerance test is simply too strong to ignore. "

York Nutritional Laboratories is a state and federally licensed (CLIA)

facility as well as being ISO 9002 certified.  Additionally, the foodSCAN

test kit is CE certified and comes with a written money back guarantee -

no

other food intolerance testing laboratory can offer all these same

assurances!

Diane,

Personally I would suspect this as a faulty test. Several of the kids have had

allergy testing and all of them have had Celiac testing---there is no way they

culd test for all these things with just a pin prick. Save your money!

& Garry, parents of (11 ds), (10 ds), JJ (7

ds/autism/celiac), (7 ds/ADHD/Celiac), and Esther (4 ds). All adopted.

  • 9 years later...

I've done the Alcat test several times. My integrative MD put me on antigen

drops so that the foods would not effect me in future. The jury is out on

whether it worked or not---the " effects " were not bold so to speak.

God Bless,

Sara

Hi Nil,

Testing for fructose and lactose intolerance can also be very worthwhile. I'm

not the only on who's been surprised to find I had a problem with fructose.

Cheers
