My son was found to have Pseudonmonas eruginosa in his gut by having a

CDSA (Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis) done. This was back

around 2003. He was being treated by an Integrative physician who used

colloidal silver. But for this infection he used Cipro. If you do a

search, you will find they are now using two antibiotics together to

help avoid resistance.

He was treated by a couple of physicians for what they termed Leaky Gut.

But unfortunately for him, it did not cure his CFS, which we believe is

tick born disease related, specifically Lyme, Bartonella, Babesia and

Ehrlichia.

BTW, when he received IV Rocephin and Zithromax for 8 months, his food

allergies greatly improved as did his chemical sensitivities.

Unfortunately, the fatigue hung on.

If this was me, I would want antibiotics not colloidal silver for this

infection.

Best,

I can't address the infections--------but suggest he look into LDN---low dose

naltrexone, for the fatigue and other issues. I started the LDN four years

ago---had immediate lifting of body weakness. The site,

www.low dose naltrexone.org has the science. Several forums also.

God Bless,

Sara

Thank you, Ellen. If you are referring to the tendon damage that this

class of antibiotics can cause, that would be less of a risk for a 7-10

day course. Long term use definitely is a risk. My son was on Levaquin

long term. It helped his symptoms incredibly. But unfortunately it

also starting causing tendon pain from his knees down. Thankfully,

there was no permanent damage.

Funny how several people have reported relief of fatigue with LDN.

I get zero or very little benefit in terms of fatigue.

I get much benefit in terms of pain - both joint pain and fibro pain as well as

spinal stenosis pain.

Wish I could get a little relief for the fatigue.

(the pain relief is only if I don't overdo it).
