Could it be neuropathy? Benfotiamine works really well for that for a lot of

people.

>I started having burning feet problem around end 2008. During 2008 I had

overdosed iron and I thought this burning feet problem could be due to iron

overdosing and high ferritin. During the first half of 2009 I lowered my

ferritin by blood letting. At the last quarter of 2009 my ferritin was at normal

level. My feet continued having problem of burning. Burning got better at

sometimes and worse at anothers.Overall, it slowly moved upwards towards the

knees.I feel it only at resting mode. It is at same level at both legs.It is so

upsetting to have feet and lower parts of the legs burn everynight before

sleeping. It disturbs my sleeping because I get very upset every night. I am

also worried because i also have osteoporosis. If this is a circulation problem,

osteoporosis at my legs may also be increasing.I am a smoker but not in

excessive amounts.I used to do coffee enemas but not much any more as burning

increases after coffee enema. So, this means to me increase in burning might be

related to adrenaline. I am taking massage, using feet vibration machine. But

nothing seems to help. Since couple of days I feel burning is moving above

knees.I am quite upset. Anyone has any idea on what could this be? I can not

tolerate prescription medication so there are not much hopes for me even if I

visit a doctor.Do you think this problem might be related to CFS in any

way?Anyone have this problem? Is there anything I can do other than massage? My

last HbA1c was 5.7 % .thanks

Nil,

The nightly burning feet and legs that I had for 10+ years disappeared within a

week of starting Valrex. This was in warm or cold weather.

I still can get a different type of burning sensation in very cold weather

though. Now I make sure that I keep my feet and legs warm before I get into bed

as sometimes they get very cold to the touch before bed and then overheat once I

get there.

Two separate problems for me.

I still have restless legs, electric sensations and severe pain in some areas of

the my legs but this is related to an old injury (I think) but it doesn't seem

related to the above problem.

Hope something works for you as the disrupted sleep from the nightly burning was

terrible.

Kindest regards,

Annette

Iron excess can cause peripheral neuropathy.

You could try putting Kirkman's magnesium cream on your feet before bed

each night for a few weeks and see if that helps. After that try soaking

your feet in a bowl of water with 1 kg of baking soda (sodium bicarb)

for a few weeks.

See info on treating neuropathy.

This is usually related to TCM kidney yin deficiencies

and other commonly related deficiencies - " deficiency heat "

is the principle here.

See my articles " rosacea " , " EM " , " gen-EM " for principles that may

apply, at url below/end. Low E/P/T hormones, any thyroid

imbalance, and/or other non-optimal hormone or neurotransmitter

levels can go with this.

You can buy Magnesium Sulfate Cream from www.kirkmanlabs.com It's the

same one Dr. Cheney recommends.

The next best option would be epsom salt foot baths. This would be

better than regular baths as you would get a higher concentration in the

feet. Dr. Majid Ali recommends these.
