Guest guest
I'm not sure. Seems like there was Vit C too. Maybe would be in my medical records somewhere. I just remember feeling quite ill after each session & my doc was so surprised because she said 'everyone' feels better. Interesting though, is that I recently tested low for B12, so started on sublingual drops & I could actually feel something good...seems like my body somehow craves it. Does anyone know if you can dose much higher than recommended (1000 mcg)? Thanks.... > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > > > > > > > > > Is anyone on the IMMM supplement trial for fatigue? > > > > > > > > > > > > Curious how it's going. I seemed to have felt a slight relief of fatigue in the first week. Definitely not placebo as I sank like a rock during a high stress event (neighbor's pit bull). > > > > > > > > > > > > I feel like cleaning, have started exercise (okay, shouldn't really be called that - some leg lifts, some light weights) > > > > > > > > > > > > Marti > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
A few years ago, I had a series of " coctail IVs " containing vitamin c, glutathione, and other nutrients and many separate IVs to chelate heavy metals. I felt worse after each, my doctor was surprised, and in spite of my body practically shouting " no " when I headed back for each, I kept going thinking it was just what I had to go through to get better or that my backsliding after IVs was due to something else CFS related. Although the chelation IVs reduced my heavy metals somewhat, they didn't reduce levels nearly as much as my doctor expected. And the vitamin IVs just made me worse.  I've recently learned from 's posts and subsequent urine analysis, that my oxalate levels were high. I had been given amoxicillin, clarithromycin, and doxycycline many times. Those antibiotics and quinolone kill the good gut bacteria that feed on oxolates resulting over time, in high oxolate levels. When excess oxolates permeate the gut and enter the bloodstream, they travel throughout the body and can cause oxidative stress, pain, brain fog, and deplete glutathione. Vitamin C turns into oxalates so the vitamin IV that would help some people, was in my case adding to already too high oxalate levels and making me worse.  And something at the time, prevented my body from releasing heavy metals. I can't remember now what it was and I didn't read about it until years later. Someone in this group will know so please weigh in would you? High PH or biofilm or something needs to be addressed before the body will release heavy metals well. Can't remember today. Too brain fogged. It was also recently pointed out to me by a DOM that those of us whose CFS has resulted in body temps below 98.6, feel worse after IVs because the liquid is cold taking our already low body temp even lower and making our bodies labor for a few days to get back to where it was.  This brings up a few points. Doing certain steps in the right order is crucial. Well intentioned practitioners acting on generalities like that vitamin C supports and boosts everyone, can take some of us backwards because of our individual circumstance. And last but not least, I'm still learning to trust my gut instinct and that if my little voice is shouting " No " , there's probably a reason. I may not doscover it until much later, but there's a reason.  Many of those have come from this group's posts. Maybe something in this one will click with you as a possible reason for your IVs making you feel ill. Good luck!  Kay       From: Joy <joyhealth08@...> Sent: Monday, June 20, 2011 4:45 AM Subject: Re: glutathione - Sara  I'm not sure. Guest guest
So well said Kay-----follow your " gut " in more then one way. My glutathione was the straight stuff---in a " push " ---meaning big needle pushing into veins slowly, but within 5-8 min. I don't do well with the " cocktails " UNLESS I have a nasty cold coming on---then I RUN to the clinic. I can say that by slowly piecing together what has emerged over the last 5-6 years---I am 80% functional, and happy if this is where I stay. Some one mentioned B12 in a post------I give myself B12 shots----mostly when feeling run down---and then I take mega doses daily, for a week. Read once you can't OD on B12. Helps to have an MD with knowledge of same, and who will allow the patient to dictate their course. God Bless, Sara W.
