Guest guest
hope this isn't too much information, but it's important. most of my healing came from me learning how to increase bm rate from once daily to four times daily. over time, the colon becomes impacted which means 1) there is too much waste in the body, which is unhealthy and 2) you don't get as much absorption and asssimilation of nutrients. also, we don't go to the bathroom the way we should. we were designed to do our business in a " squatting " position. when we 'sit' certain muscles involved in the process are not used. so when you 'sit' you may think that you are done, but if you reach down, grab your ankles and strain, you find that you were not done after all. now, if your colon is too impacted, this technique may not work. some say a stool kept in front of the toilet is better so you can raise your knees up. Guest guest
forgot to respond. a $5 colon cleanse i did is buying a bag of organic flax seed and gorging on it over a two day period. make sure you stay home. there is also colonics. you go into the colonic office feeling like you don't have to go but she will make you go and you will actually see it in tubes. ionic foot baths also help get this going. they say that a man can carry up to 20 pounds in the colon. check out the john wayne autopsy. Couple of days ago I consumed some coconut milk and I had the good bowel movements next day,(sorry for the topic). I wonder if this had any relationship with coconut milk or if it was a coincedance. > > > > best wishes > > nil > > colon health > > > > > > hope this isn't too much information, but it's important. > > > > most of my healing came from me learning how to increase bm rate from once daily to four times daily. over time, the colon becomes impacted which means 1) there is too much waste in the body, which is unhealthy and 2) you don't get as much absorption and asssimilation of nutrients. > > > > also, we don't go to the bathroom the way we should. we were designed to do our business in a " squatting " position. when we 'sit' certain muscles involved in the process are not used. so when you 'sit' you may think that you are done, but if you reach down, grab your ankles and strain, you find that you were not done after all. now, if your colon is too impacted, this technique may not work. some say a stool kept in front of the toilet is better so you can raise your knees up. > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > This list is intended for patients to share personal experiences with each other, not to give medical advice. Mike I found many sites debunking it. I am interested in the topic, however. I had impacted colon recently. A laxative partly fixed it, but there is a pain there also now, possibly impacted, possibly diverticula (which I know I have). >> > >> > >> > >> >
Guest guest
Pain (in lower left abdomen) accompanied with fever is diverticulitis (infected diverticuli). I ended up in hospital with IV antibiotics. Went several days with severe pain before going to ER (thinking it was appendicitus) Have learned since that it is a serious disease & has to be managed - quite challenging. Just a word of caution....... > > carry up to 20 pounds in the colon. check out the john wayne autopsy. Mike > > I found many sites debunking it. > > I am interested in the topic, however. Guest guest
Thanks. It sometimes goes away, but it is there most of the time. So I can't tell if it's an infection or not. Why left side? Mine is very low, near the spine, on the right side. At least that is where it seems to be. Definitely intestical though. Guest guest
Hi - I'm still learning. My first attack the pain was right & left - couldn't really pinpoint exactly. My second attack was definitely more on the left. There is a website where I get alot of my info - unfortunately, the doctors don't tell you much as far as how to avoid, what to eat, high fiber, low fiber etc. As far as infection, I think it is the fever (chills etc) that is the biggest indicator. Having just pain & no fever might be inflamation of colon or the beginning of a major flare. What I tried this last time was big doses of magnesium. Supposedly, if you have fiber during an attack it will irritate the colon more. Also, when having pain, it seems best to eat a low fiber diet. After talking to others who have the disease, it seems everyone is different, so I can only share what I have experienced. Good luck - it is such an awful disease - I feel for you!
