I'm currently taking Zoloft. It seemed to work a little at first and now seems to not be helping at all. I'm interested in other people's experiences with SAM-e and depression (and whatever else it may be helpful for). Does it also help with anxiety? What dosage do you take? Do you begin at one dose and then increase it? Thank you for your help. Sue
Guest guest
I would like to mention that I am on adrenal support and pregnenolone helps me with depression problems. If I lower dose I am in depression. If I take it I am fine. I must also note that I am also on adrenal cortex extracts. They might work together. best wishes nil SAME-e for Depression I'm thinking of trying SAM-e for my depression. Guest guest
One more note on this subject. I am thinking depression we are experiencing is due to hormonal insufficiencies. best wishes nil Re: SAME-e for Depression hi after many, many anti depressaNTS for me cfs problems i am now on lexapro, lactamil, agomelatine they seem to work reasonablely well my neoupsychiatrist says that me depression is different to the normal or classic depression and must be handled very carefully

Your COMT gene tendencies also influence how fast dopamine is cleared from your system. Psychotropic meds such as Zoloft need a long, safe and sane withdrawal, along with deep nutritional support, rest, etc. to help heal. Neurotransmitters and amino acids (both 24 hr uring collection) testing could be very useful after a few months of no drugs or substances affecting neurotransmitters. Hormones and life circumstances past and present are useful to look at as well. Consider not using the expression " my depression " as its use fosters entanglement and not distancing. Sounds trivial and insignificant but can have large effects not obvious at first. Carol W. willis_protocols Articles in Files.
