Dear Amy

I'm sorry I can't answer your questions. I think I've had some of the

tests you mention, but I'm too sick to look for them. I was recently

dx'd with osteomyelitis (dx'd w/hypercoagulation in 2006) and then

osteonecrosis in part of my jaw with the latest oral ultrasound.

My DO wants me to have oral debridement but the local Univ docs don't

agree. They are simply relying on a visual examination of my mouth

and there is no open gaping wound so they think it looks fine. The

ultrasound, x-ray's, etc mean nothing to them.

We did all of our testing though Hemex Lab. Unfortunately Dr. Berg retired.

My suggestion would be to contact them and see who in your area works with them.

It actually makes things easier if the MD works with them because their papers

on CFIDS and coagulation would likely be accepted with less resistance...

As a FYI, our MD did send out blood out to a local lab for a few of the

measurements on occasion; with the same results as Hemex. Hemex simply offers

broader testing because they specialize in coagulation issues.

Ken

Didn't Hemex sell their coagulation profile testing to Labcorp? That

was what I read last year.

Supposedly, you can now order their profiles thru Labcorp.
