Dr. Chia mentions Antiviral for CFS:

>*A Drug Suggests Hope* -- there is some unexpected hope on the horizon,

>though. A hepatitis C drug under development will, he believes, be able

>to knock off the RNA that is causing havoc in ME/CFS. If it does that,

>that will open the door not only to better treatment but more research.

> " It will be similar enough to the drug that we need...that it will open

>the door...(hopefully) just as AZT did for AIDS "

Dr. Chia's presentation appears in the 2nd paragraph in this report:

Dr Chia did give me some hope for this drug when it becomes available. But he

said he does not know if it will have the ability to enter the brain. The

chronic enteroviral infection in CFS is inside the brainstem neurons, therefore

since the immune system cant reach the infection, the drug must be able to

penetrate the neurons and kill off or stop the virus from replicating. The drug

should be FDA approved soon, I have my fingers crossed. Also, the drug appears

to have very minimal side effects and works very fast on Hepatitis C, 2 weeks to

undetectable levels.
