Guest guest
HI Lizzie I live in Aust and had my panel done at European Nutritional Lab (ENL)in Holland, I was told that is where I had to send my sample because the lab in US didn't do testing for international clients. No there isnt anyone here in Aust that does it. However, when I redo mine very soon I will not be sending it to ENL because their customer service was very poor and it took many phone calls and about 2 months to eventually get all my results (I had to chase them for the glutathione results) and the language barrier made it even harder. I will be sending the next one to the US if they will do it for me. > > > > Rich, due to a flood------I have lost a lot of my information---computer and paper trail. Guest guest
Hi, Lizzie, and the group. The Health Diagnostics and Research Institute (formerly Vitamin Diagnostics, Inc.)in New Jersey, U.S.A. does run samples from Australia, provided they are shipped properly. The lab should be consulted for information about shipping requirements. It's true that there have been difficulties in the past with turnaround time and communication with the European Laboratory of Nutrients. I spoke to the owner about this again when we were together at the Orthomolecular Health Medicine meeting in San Francisco. He had heard that I had been advising people to send their samples to the New Jersey lab, even if they live in Europe, which was true, because several people had reported problems they had had with the European lab to me. He assured me again that the problems had been corrected, and gave me his email address to contact him if I heard of any more problems. So I would appreciate hearing from anyone who sends samples to them as to how the service and communication are now. I should note that these labs have had some difficult things to deal with. The New Jersey lab had its leased building condemned and had to move, and the startup of the new lab was difficult because of the requirements of the inspectors. New instruments had to be purchased, installed, calibrated, and approved by the lab certifying authorities, and this took considerable time, during which the lab lost a lot of business. The European lab, which is located in Belgium, now has to deal with the problem that the government, which approved and paid for a lot of testing in the past, has now " changed its mind " and is asking the lab to reimburse the government for this testing, which amounts to a lot of money. I find it amazing that they could take this position, which sounds to me like an " ex post facto " law, which is not legal here, but maybe the rules about that are different in Belgium. This will be decided by the courts, but the refusal of the government to pay for such testing in the future will have a considerable negative impact on the lab's business. We have our issues with the laboratories, but I think we should keep in mind that they are not always having a picnic, either! Thanks.
