Formulas can differ, so it's unclear what all is in your formula, but here is a Yin Chao Jin from Health Concerns, a reputable American manufacturer: {Moderator: removed link/solicitation} This is basically a strong " clear the heat " formula for short term use, used mostly in acute viruses with fever due to the isatis. This particular product probably wouldn't be used for headaches, though I don't rule out that it might work for some people for short term use. Need to look into causes of course, and cause would likely point to the right approach. There is nothing in it this product that would be a laxative, especially at that single low dose. However I have known some people to have idiosyncratic laxative reactions to other " clear heat " formulas that were milder, maybe 10-20% of persons? > I took just one tablet one time. > It caused me diaharea within 3 hours and alot of > ongoing digestive problems and also IBS and now my > digestive has stopped for a few days and the ocassional > BM is very small. Chinese imports have occasionally been known to have other things in them. I only use American-manufactured TCM formulas, some of which are OTC such as Planetary Herbals and some of Nature's Sunshine Products (Chinese line), or available thru health practitioners such as Health Concerns and Blue Poppy. > Has anyone had problems wiht this? Take some extra fiber and cal/mag to get things going again. If there is a purge, then it can take remaining contents a while to catch up but can become more dried out in the process. And write the product off as a bust for you. The formula may have minor differences from other manufacturers than my example above. A " clear heat " formula is an interesting choice for headache... There are several variations on " clear heat " formulas. Planetary Herbals has one called Red Clover Cleanser (originally called River of Life years ago), and Nature's Sunshine has IF-C. They are milder than the Health Concerns example above, sold thru health professionals. Again, root cause would be the thing to address. Guest guest
I used to take it sometimes for bad colds or the flu. Taking too much would upset my stomach. Maybe you're allergic to one of the ingredients? A few things I'm allergic to give me bowel problems. Have you called and ask them about it? > > I took yin chao jin for headaches/pain.
