Guest guest
Hi, I usually try to avoid posting questions like these but my brain totally shut down, one of my viruses is acting up like crazy and I'm in a serious battle with it. My physician can't be reached for a couple of days, he's expanding his practice and is busy with that. He send me my test results of my latest blood work, we usually do this extensive test ever 2 months. There were a lot of things wrong and off but one thing bugged me. He had no time to go over it with me and discussing the results will have to wait till next week or the week after. Anyway I emailed him I was surprised to see that my Vitamin D3, 1,25 had gone up to 76 pg/mL(ref 18-72) while my Vitamin D, 25-Oh, D3 stayed low at 22 ng/mL(ref 20-100). My Vitamin D3, 1,25 is always at a 30 - 40 pg/mL range, this spike happened in 8 week time frame. I take no D3 supplements. I received a reply from him that stated: Read up on the Marshall protocol so long to better understand why the conversion of 25 OH to 1, 25 OH2 is > 1:2. This had me baffled for 2 reasons, first, because I loath mr. Marshall and second had no clue whatsoever what he means with 'the conversion of 25 OH to 1, 25 OH2 is > 1:2.' I understand the mechanism as to why my Vitamin D3, 1,25 is elevated but can't make any sense of the cryptic conversion he mentions. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks a bunch! -- Portland, OR {Moderator: The Marshall Protocol is a banned topic for this forum. Please do not discuss the benefits or pitfalls.
