I did the same recently and was recommended Q10, selenium, vit c, vit E, magnesium, not zinc though. I didn't have the nickel. Do I assume you have nickel allergy and have problems with fashion jewllery? I was always ok in that way though. You said that it's not easy knowing what tests to pay for. I know what you mean because things are expensive and we end up putting trust in the doctor... The other test I did was Glutathione, which was low.
