Guest guest
Thanks for the Pregnyl info, people. I am on my 2nd day. So far, I've been well, except I crashed (as is usual for me) late in the day. - B.
Guest guest
Marti: I owe you and extensive answer after all that wonderful stuff you wrote down. Problem is I just started the Stratton Protocol for my bacterial infections and I hope it's not killing me because good grief do I feel rotten! Will write about that later though. My dr. thinks a that a lot of toxins sit comfortably in fat. The fat stores the toxins and makes you feel ill over and over again and maybe houses the bacteria or other nastiness as well. So losing that fat would be beneficial in terms of losing a favorite place to toxins to hang out. I did not hear him mentioning reversing ME/CFIDS this way but in his approach everything is connected. That's the way he builds my therapy plan and I have as much say in that as he does. Funny thing was that I mentioned it myself after whining about all the weight I gained while using prednisone and later HC. I mentioned it as a joke, something like ' oh I know I will end up using HCG if I EVER want to loose this horrible weight'. And he said well actually that might be a good idea. I was flabbergasted. ;-) Next time I saw him he looked toned and slimmer. So I complimented him for looking so good and he casually said yes I have been trying out the HCG because that's how he is ;-) A lot of things he prescribes me he tries out himself first to know what it feels like to take those meds ;-) I thought it was funny, and he lost a lot in a couple of weeks. Our plan was that we needed at least 1.5 to 2 years to get my body ready for serious treatment, giving it all the nurture, support and care that it would need. Like the glutathione injections, the B12/B6/Folinic Acid, the HGH, Heparin and a list of supplements. All focussed on bringing my adrenals back to life, immune system functioning etc. Did not quite work out that way. It's all very nurturing but I kept deteriorating. It was like carrying water to the plant with a big hole in the bucket. My lab test kept showing high out of range figures (EBV of 11000, C4 of 36000) and I gained some more over the 2 years. Last month I became truly ill and could not leave my bed anymore. Test showed my Cpn was out of control and so were other bacterial infections like MAC(Mycobacterium avium complex), Giardia, Mycoplasma, etc.. He asked if I wanted to be brave and start ABX(antibiotics)therapy can take up to 5 years and take 5 - 6 different abx at the same time. The other choice was Valtrex for the viral infections, but since I also have a high CMV load the Valtrex would have no effect on that, plus that I'm waiting for my XMRV test results to come back. So what choice do I have? Do nothing and deteriorate even more or deteriorate doing the abx protocol? I'm so medications sensitive it's not funny anymore. Will write a new message about what the protocol is and my reactions to it, maybe someone has a good tip for me how to get through this ordeal. -- Portland, OR On May 29, 2010, at 8:58 AM, marti_zavala wrote: > , I am surprised that your doctor and 's doctor friend would know of this. I am not getting a doctor's help as I do not have a good ME/CFIDS doctor. I am curious to know what your doctor thinks would be a benefit beyond weight loss. Are there applications to ME/CFIDS patients for reversing the illness and in what way?
