i contacted them to find out if any of their product was from china.. I couldn't

get an answer...

so much of the raw product ..ascorbic acid for eg. ...comes from china.

but apparently if the packaging and so forth is american, you can say the

product is american?! that's what the kid told me who answered the phone at pure

bulk.

Hi L,

The packages that I have received from them state China as the country of

origin.

Perhaps clicking on the labels that are on the website and zooming in as far as

you can. I would imagine most of their items have China as the country of

origin.

I would also assume that most products sold in the US have at least one

component that is mfg'd in China. Follow the money.

Hi L,

Well, yes I do. But I am of the opinion that there are only a few mfg's of

supplements. I read long ago that most vitamins/supplements get all their stuff

from these few companies.

I think all supplements have components from China or Thailand or any other

country that has a part of the pharmaceutical market.

I doubt that I could afford supplements made by a US company and I doubt that

their stuff is 100% pure. Highly likely that there is something to be concerned

with there as well.

Having said that, I wouldn't buy just any old supplement from China or any other

country. I purchase pharmaceuticals made in other countries too. I try to at

least stay with pharmaceutical companies or more well -established companies.

I have a real problem with Chinese herbs as there is less oversight. I know

they are used by TCM and even other protocols but a plant has the opportunity to

get more tainted than a synthetic compound made in a lab.

Not an easy choice but we each have to weight the risks. Wish it could be an

easier choice but there it is.

I hear you. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I've got bottles of powder from beyond a century that I don't know whether to

use.. because I know the stuff comes from china.

OTOH, I don't want to pay premium prices for LEF or Lab products for

everything. Just can't afford it.

Hi L,

I found another amino acid that I ordered from Pure Bulk and the source was US

so I guess not everything is from China.

I also purchase pharmaceuticals from overseas. I use several different

pharmacies. Sometimes it is US brands of prescription drugs and sometime not.

I would estimate my risk as moderate which is not really acceptable to me but no

other options at this time.
