Guest guest
{Moderator: This is exactly why these types of posts are not allowed. This will be the ONLY post allowed in this thread. Also, this is will be the LAST political advocacy post allowed. This list is not meant to cause stress to people who are ill.} In the interest of fairness, I believe the moderators should allow a rebuttal to the claim that " McCain Files New Bill Attacking Your Access to Supplements " The purpose of the bill is not to attack our access to supplements, rather it is to ensure mfgs properly disclose all ingredients on the labels, including reformulations should be noted. For example how many of us would have known Metagenics reformulated their supplements used in Yasko's protocol if Rich hadn't alerted us. Also it would require mgs to report reporting of minor averse events. How can this be a bad thing? People, especially athletes, were dying because of supplements like ephedra. Also, I for one, am sick of paying outrageous amounts of money only to find that amount of supplements in the bottle is no where near the amount advertised on the bottle - as found by Consumer Reports. While I'm not denying the bill can be abused and may hurt us, I don't believe that was the intent and I refuse to support the manufacturers so they can maintain their profits. Wall Street has proven self regulation doesn't work.
