XMRV Vaccine

Creating a decent vaccine is problematic, though. There's no good vaccine

for HIV as of yet and they've been working at that for awhile now (the most

current HIV vaccine tested in Thailand had a pretty low rate of success and

apparently now there are other questions regarding it that are coming up).

WPI is working on a treatment, not a vaccine, so I think there's hope for

all the people currently alive with CFS. The vaccine companies will try to

make a vaccine for it but that will take time and who knows when they will

be successful, if ever. People with HIV are no longer dying off en mass, so

HIV treatment is still the primary focus, not the vaccine. We don't die off

quickly, so I imagine treatment will be the primary focus (imagine the money

drug companies and alternatives can make from us) as well, not a vaccine.

Oh, I understand that. I just don't have much faith in vaccine companies

making

good vaccines that actually work (H1N1 vaccine is only effective for 1 out

of 4

people). XMRV may be an " easy " virus to figure out compared to HIV, but

it's

still going to be awhile before they come up with a good vaccine that people

are willing to get. Even if/when they develop a decent vaccine for XMRV,

it'll

still be awhile before the whole population is vaccinated for it.
