Guest guest Posted October 26, 2009 Report Share Posted October 26, 2009 I called the lab in Reno today and put my name on the waiting list to get the test kit. I was told I should get the kit in 4-6 weeks. The two tests they run are a PCR and a culture. The PCR will be reported as positive or negative at this time. I will be more interested to see the results of the culture. At this point, since I don't think Medicare or insurance will cover this test I plan to pay out of pocket, but not get anyone else in my family tested. Three of us test positive for borrelia, but the other two are symptom free at this time.
