Hi Sharon :)

If you are talking about your state assessment then yes TN has also said

Sara has to be tested at grade level ................... I got word that Sara

doesn't qualify for a portfolio either because of this darn IQ test I allowed

many years ago. No Alternative tests for a child with a score over 55. My

(middle school teacher) sister told me the 7th grade test is over 60 pages. I

did

get an email from Sara teacher who suggested she stay home the days of

testing lol I guess no one wants Sara to lower the schools " Blue Ribbon " status

Supposedly in years to come kids who would not benefit from state

assessments can be exempt from the standard test .......... Ive heard this for

while

now

Hi danny. I'm not sure4e what prompted you to think about it, but I have been too. I am learning and growing noticeably since I have known about this. I believe we all may complain, some more4e than others and in different, attention grabbing or subtle manifestations. but what pulls me out of a downward spiral is the actual act of which you speak. I don't necessarily search for people with misfortunes, but when I hear them, it causes me to want to help, show compassion (not pity). When this very human trait kicks in gear, my misfortunes seem to dissolve... and I CAN think and be thankful for the positive things that are happening to me. I've never really considered death before, and have basically lived my life as if It were a dress rehearsal. I don't know. I live for each moment.,.(almost...I'm not 100% yet. I'm closer to God.. My God, not some mean being that's gonna' fry

my ass in molten lava for eternity. I mean what I say...now. Before I skirted things. In my opinion, and my life, There have already been positive things happen to me. This...in less than one year! I have a long way to go that will just get better. To try and offer some explanation to your query regarding if it's easier to complain than than be thankful? I think the answer is yes. Misery Loves company...Let's have a pity party...drunks bitch and moan all the time...I need o blow off steam,.I need to 'vent'. I need a vacation. this IS REALLY GETTING TO ME!... There seems to be alot of phrases for the negative. I don't know if this would be considered ying and yang, but I do seem to count my own blessings when I listen to someone Else's problems. Danny I'm not picking on you, you don't seem to to be the kinda' guy that rreally gets picked on.

But!!!! I JUST realized this!! It's amazing to me!! Look at JUST WHAT HAPPENED!!!! You were complaining about people complaining and relating hepc to manifestations of misfortunes, etc... and I... unwittingly I promise, addressed your questions/complaints and look what happened!! You caused me to realize how LUCKY I AM!!! How much better of a Human Being than I've ever been!! and looking forward to growing more. We all help each other...I think. Love to All!! It’s

been a blessing for me, Danny – except the tx part—that sucked. I

take more time for myself, I’ve slowed down, I’ve built a closer

relationship with my God and my daughter. I’m happier overall since I’ve

put my priorities in order. I’m grateful for new days and new

opportunities that I didn’t appreciate before.

Hi , I was just surprised also to get over 100 posts this Sat. morning after only a few the last few days and not any for a several days. I thought I had been unsubbed. I think it probably has something to do with and what they are doing at their end, but don't know for sure. Usually Sat. are very slow so it surprised me.

why

does this group wait and send 89 posts at once instead of them coming when sent?

I think some of us (no doubt the irrepressible ones!) have elected to be unmoderated, like Carolyn, Jodie, I, and anyone else who's posts pop up. I think Sharon (Sharron?) the moderator (I hope I have your name right!) then puts up the others all at once. I remember her asking us.

it sure makes it very hard to read when you get nothing and then a huge download all at once I assume it is because the posts are moderated and not sent until she has time to read them then send

Is it possible to either unmoderate the group? Or, if that's not a

desired option -- to have a few more people able to approve posts?

Receiving posts from May 14 on June 7 seems more than a little delayed.

I would be willing to check in at least once/day and send messages

through. I promise I'm not a stalker, spammer, or identity thief. Just

a mom :)

For an update, my son is having a very peace-filled summer. In summers

past, he has had more behavioral issues when school is out and speech

services are done for the year. This year, let him play outside as much

as possible and he is very happy, fairly obedient (he is a flight risk

), and has been sleeping pretty well for the most part. University

speech begins next week, and I hope that he will pick up where he left

off with the dynavox. His requests tripled when he finally grasped the

benefits of using it. Of course, most of it was food-related <G> He

will be going into kindergarten in the fall with a 1:1 aide. We are

hoping that the more-structured environment (less chaos!) will keep him

from exhibiting as much frustration.

Have a great week, folks :)

If this illness is related to HTLV 1 and 2,leukemia and lymphoma viruses, why do

we all keep mentioning HIV?????? Why don't we put it in those categories? We

could use some strategy for protecting how we may be unjustly treated further.

Just a thought that keeps tugging at me.
