Guest guest
Do some of you have severe pain in the calves of your legs as your worse symptom? For me, this is what keeps me in bed with my legs elevated and forces me to use a wheelchair some of the time just to get around my small condo. Blood quickly pools in my legs when I stand or walk for even a few minutes or when I sit with my legs down. Pain starts and escalates to the point that it's unbearable. Then it takes hours or days to recover. I also have pain in any muscles I'm using but the legs are the worse and I sometimes use ice packs on them to reduce the burning or soreness. I do not have varicose veins & was diagnosed with CFS 20 years ago. I've been in pain ever since and have been to many doctors. I also have fatigue that happens quickly whenever I'm exerting any energy for more than about ten minutes at any one time, but that's secondary to the pain. For instance, just taking a shower is exhausting and painful. I sit on a stool during the shower and when making meals and getting dressed. Have any of you found a way to reduce the leg pain? Please give me some ideas. Thanks, Jan
Guest guest
Hi jan, I use a chi machine every day and it did wonders for those symptoms that you describe. I had the chi machine for years and they were rare back than but you can now easily find used ones on either ebay or craigslist. Here is a youtube of a chi machine. Also drink enough, the reason the body holds on to that liquid is often because it's dehydrated. I also drink nettle and juniper tea to help drain fluids. To support drainage and the kidneys my physician prescribed me Kidney Stim Liquescence by Professional Complimentary Health Formulas (PCHF.) It's a homeopathic solution. Unfortunately you can not buy them directly from them. http://www.professionalformulas.com/ Hope this helps, -- Portland, OR On Sep 27, 2009, at 4:21 PM, jangrth wrote: > Have any of you found a way to reduce the leg pain? Guest guest
Hi Jan- I had calf pain, and found I had a deep vein thrombosis (DVT or blood clot. The calf pain is called a homans sign. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homans_sign My DVT occured right after a foot surgery, but for about a year before that I had red feet, swollen ankles and lower legs, indicating poor blood circulation. Hopefully you don't have blood clots, but this is serious enough to have checked out immediately. Doug
