OT - Re: spam from the list -

Just an FYI, becasue it seems people forgot or don't know:

KEN L. IS NOT OWNER OF this group

Ken had been asked by the owner to be a moderator of this list, and then kept

that position for years, when the owner disappeared.

Even tho in recent ones, he asked many times for more mods or even someone to

take over.

{We did have one odd period of " phantom mods " with no names}

He stated some time ago he (and most of his family?) is 100% cured and he now

carries a full work load in his field of electronics. Actually awhile back he

also said he and Laurie had become bored with this group, and busy with

his/her/their life...not following the posts.

But has returned periodically when some members would ask for moderation of

others

-then, if he chooses, he cracks the whip, posts or changes some rules and posts

a bunch of fascinating Scientific research studies, til the next time.

Someone who's a Moderator may be set to have or not have most of the tech.

From other lists I think Some of managing a list is updating features and spam

filter sort of things.

just did some upgrades in the last week. It's slowed and screwed up my

mailbox and emailing functions, and I wondered if that caused the

apearance of so much spam there.

Would that be connected to other group spam?

Is any of this related to anything of use? lol
