Guest guest
Anyone ever had one done? If so, please post your experience before and after. I am hesitating because of the possibility of risks of the procedure I've read about. **************************************See AOL's top rated recipes (http://food.aol.com/top-rated-recipes?NCID=aoltop00030000000004)
Guest guest
I have had one, it not that bad. The shot to numb you up hurts more than the LP itself. Just be sure to drink like 10 gallons of water the next few days to avoid getting a headache. And lay on your back a lot... your brain will feel kind of " loose " for a day or so. > > Anyone ever had one done? If so, please post your experience before and > after. Guest guest
I had one and I was one of those with the severe headache afterwards. The only help was laying flat on your back and drinking caffeine. My headache lasted around 10 days. They said they do have things to do to help get rid of the headache, unfortunately the place I went to was out of state so my local hospital wouldn't do the 'headache fix'. If you need it done, then do it. Just be prepared for after care assistance. --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. Guest guest
If I understand correctly severe headache after LP is a result of spinal fluid leaking from the puncture site. Having that fixed is a better option than just waiting for it to seal on it's own. Personally, I wouldn't subject myself to any invasive procedure unless absolutely necessary.
