OMG! Anything to make a buck! But wait, if the babies are getting it from

their parents and their parents are vaccinated, then wouldn't that mean that it

would make no sense to get the babies vaccinated? Hmmm...points to ponder.

They are relentless, aren't they?

parents get vaccinated with their babies at " well " check ups? I hadn't heard of

this before.

Here in Arizona they had a whole ad campaign about the flu shot with people

saying, " I did it for my grandma, I did it for my baby, " etc. - telling the

healthy adults that they should get the flu shot to protect the people around

them.

This happened this summer to my aunt and uncle. When they took their

daughter to one of her well-baby checks (just after her birth), the

ped had them both get the pertussis booster. I believe it cost them

around $80 each. This happened in Southern California. I live in a

different county than them and have never had this happen to me.

Did they tie them down and FORCE it on them or did they just heavily pressure

them? ; ) One can always say no. But most people won't.

Heavy pressure. You know, the usual scare tactics they use on new

parents. My aunt asked me if she should have done it after the fact.

Wish she would have called from the peds office. sigh...

Hope you know I was kidding! But they CAN put some serious guilt and fear on

ya! It's hard to stand your ground in front of the man with the white coat,

isn't it? And my dr. sweetly said to me one time, " What is your education in? "

Knowing full well that I don't have a medical degree. Like that makes me a

total ignoramus. That burned me up.

Every time I hear this, my blood boils. I just WISH some doctor would

have the gall to say something like that to me, because I would just

lay it on him.... -Angie
