Guest guest
I have not received a reply from Unicef so far about my complaint about the Pampers advert even though they said they would reply within 3 working days and it has been about a week at least now. I don't think they will reply but I have also noticed that the advert is not being played as much or at all, so maybe more people have complained. I just don't get it though, Unicef are supposed to be pro breastfeeding etc. and Radford from Unicef UK wrote this (http://www.parentingweb.com/lounge/WABA_enviro.htm) stunning article to point out how brf helps to protect the environment and then they go ahead and join up with Pampers. How daft is that? Backwards thinking, in my oppinion, and I think many at Unicef were not in agreement about this advert. I hope it will be a huge embarassment for them. I will send my complaint to Baby Milk Action UK too as they are partially funded by Unicef. I did get a reply from the ASA and they can't help as my complaint was not about the content of the advert but about the fact that Pampers joined with Unicef. They missed my point, unfortunatly and somehow I always knew they were not going to do anything about them, especially in light of an ex UK goverment official working for them.
